If it wasn't for the flexibility of DistanceLearningCentre.com, I never would have been able to achieve this. - Sarah Hough
At the age of 32, I had decided that I wanted to do my Access Diploma to enable me to achieve my dream and become a nurse. The support I got from the tutors was amazing and helpful, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Working full-time, being a mum and doing this course online enabled me to fit this within my busy lifestyle. During the course, I took a few months off due to the bereavement of my mum and my sister, but I managed to complete the course and obtain the marks needed for me to be able to secure a place at a university of my choice and start next month to fulfil my dreams. If it wasn't for the flexibility of DistanceLearningCentre.com, I never would have been able to achieve this.
Take the risk, follow that dream, no matter how big it may seem, I promise you that it’s worth it - Annabel Jones
Before starting this course, I honestly had no idea what I would do with my life. Due to my chronic illness, I was unable to finish my A levels, bedbound with a dream I didn’t think I could reach. That was when my partner introduced me to DistanceLearningCentre.com and the Access to HE diploma for Law & Legal Professions - a chance for me to continue my education in a way that accommodated my issues. It took me a little to make the leap, my confidence low after spending time out of education, but I’ll always be thankful I did.
Starting the diploma, I found myself quickly getting along with my tutor and immersing myself in my subject, slowly building back up my confidence in both myself and what I can do. My tutor was incredibly supportive and answered all of my questions, even those I thought were a little silly, with incredible understanding of my circumstances in regards to both my chronic illness and my autism. Even when I was hit with setbacks, my tutor was always there ready to support me through so I could achieve the best grades possible. The course itself was full of information that was easily accessible, no matter where I was, and flexible in ways that allowed me to study while managing my ill health. I started enjoying learning again and looking forward to my future, working hard to eventually come out with 45 credits at Distinction and an offer to study Law at King’s College London this September.
I wouldn’t have been able to have done this without the amazing support from my tutor and the staff at DistanceLearningCentre.com, and I can’t thank them enough for giving me my dream back. I highly recommend them to anybody considering completing an Access to HE diploma. Two years ago, I believed I’d never be able to go to university, that I’d never be able to achieve what I wanted to achieve. Now, I’m a much more confident person, willing to face the future with everything I have because of the opportunities and growth this course has given me. To those like me who think it's too late or out of their reach, it’s not! Take the risk, follow that dream, no matter how big it may seem, I promise you that it’s worth it. I’m cheering you on!
I had a truly positive experience, and the course has opened the door to the next chapter in my life - Adrian Szlosek
I have successfully completed the Access to HE Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery, achieving Distinctions in all my coursework. I completed the course in just over a year while working full-time. This required self-commitment, determination, and perseverance—so for anyone doubting whether it’s achievable, I’m living proof that it is!
This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the excellent materials, guidance, and support provided by DistanceLearningCentre.com. The course resources are comprehensive, and you are never left to struggle on your own. The teaching staff are incredibly supportive, approachable, and always willing to go the extra mile—whether it’s providing feedback or offering one-on-one tutorials when you need help understanding a topic.
I had a truly positive experience, and the course has opened the door to the next chapter in my life: applying to university to study for an undergraduate degree in Adult Nursing or Physiotherapy.

successfully completed my HE Diploma...and was offered a place in my university of choice - Eugene Bailey
I have been thinking about a career change over the last number of years, because I am looking for a new challenge in life and want to give something back to the community around me. These thoughts prompted me to apply to university to become a paramedic via the university clearing process in 2024. Unfortunately, despite having a lot of lived life experience and working as an engineer, I quickly realised that I did not have the required academic qualifications to be accepted into university to study a BSc in Paramedic Science. After this disappointment, I did a lot of online research to find an education provider that was accredited and could provide me with a pathway to follow my aspirations. DistanceLearningCentre.com's name kept popping up, and the feedback from past pupils seemed very positive.
I took the plunge and enrolled in a Higher Education Diploma in Paramedic Science with DistanceLearningCentre.com at the end of 2024, with an aim to enrolling in university in 2025. I found this course to be challenging but very interesting, as a lot of the topics covered in the various modules were alien to me. The course material was well formatted and presented, full of useful links and references throughout. My tutors were friendly and very contactable whenever I had a question on the assignments or in general. Plus, they also provided me with a lot of support and positive feedback after each assignment, which assisted me in the next assignment. At times, juggling work, life, and study became hectic. In these busy periods, I was able to rearrange and extend my assignment submission deadlines to suit my needs. I found this flexible approach to learning excellent. One of my tutors also acted as my referee for my UCAS application, which removed a lot of stress from the application process.
I successfully completed my HE Diploma and submitted for moderation in June of this year. In tandem with all this, I did a number of interviews as part of the BSc in Paramedic Science university application process and was offered a place in my university of choice because of my studies with the DistanceLearningCentre.com. So yes, I am glad I chose the DistanceLearningCentre.com, as I look forward to the next leg of my life journey.
Believe in yourself, you can do it - Josephine Akua Adjei
I began my journey when I was on maternity, my baby was 3 months old, and I decided to take a bold decision and applied for a course with DistanceLearningCentre.com. It was scary initially because I had no clue what I was doing, and I wasn't used to learning online by myself. I went to the DistanceLearningCentre.com website and applied for Access to Higher Education Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery.
I had all the support that I needed from my tutors.
With the hard work, family commitment, working and also having a cooking business, I was able to accomplish my dream. I started this course on 12/03/23 and completed 28/07/25. It doesn't matter about when you started or when you're going to finish, it is about having a goal, a purpose and staying focused with your plans. It is not going to be easy, but if you believe in yourself, you can do it.
I am now enrolled into Dental Nursing and can't wait for the new journey.
