I really enjoy learning new things and so decided this course would be a great way to continue my education and it’s been a brilliant experience in every aspect. I very much appreciate that my tutors were friendly and very approachable as well as how flexible they were when I was seriously unwell which was very helpful as I didn’t feel as though there was too much pressure being put on me to complete deadlines on time.
It was also great how my feedback was always detailed and clearly laid out as made it a lot easier to understand. Also, this course has really taught me great skills in research and referencing which will help hugely in my next steps of education as have just been given an unconditional offer from Winchester university for their forensic investigation degree which is never something I thought would even be possible but this course has given me the confidence to reach for the stars!
My tutors were also incredibly accommodating of my disabilities and chronic illness which meant a lot to me.
The course content was really enjoyable and I particularly enjoyed the genetics unit and learning about Phineas Gage was nothing short of fascinating!

I had never pictured myself restarting my education long after I had finished school. I enrolled on the DistanceLearningCentre.com Access to Higher Education (Allied Health Professions) course after finishing sixth form to enable me to gain the qualifications needed to study Physiotherapy at University whilst recovering from an accident and working part time. Completing the course to the high level required to meet my UCAS offers in seven months was demanding and challenging but I am so proud that I have successfully achieved the grades I need to commence my course at my first-choice university in September. After completing my A-Levels in 2023, I unfortunately didn’t achieve the grades that I needed to progress onto a course in optometry at University. I had no luck through clearing and thought that it was going to be the end of my dreams especially after getting told by others to change my career path, however I wasn’t going to give up just yet until I researched all possible options. After doing lots of research and contacting universities, I saw that an access course could be an option for me. I then came across DistanceLearningCentre.com and then began the Science course in October 2023. At first, once I had received offers from universities, it seemed impossible to achieve 30 credits at distinction, however with all the support from such amazing tutors, I was able to complete the course with 45 credits at Distinction within 7 months. I am excited for what the future holds for me and to be able to finally study the course I’ve always dreamed of doing at the University of Plymouth. Once again, I just want to thank DLC and all the tutors for the consistent support and guidance as this would not have been possible without all of you. I firstly want to start off by thanking my amazing tutor for their timely responses, whether that be my questions or receiving my grades.
Secondly I cannot thank the DistanceLearningCentre.com enough, as I work full time, I always worried if I would be able to go back into academic studying.
