Throughout the course, the tutors' assistance was outstanding, the webinars provided further explanations, and the material were simple to understand. - Louise Sawkins
I was motivated to consider my own future professional aspirations and what I wanted to accomplish after seeing my twin daughters successfully complete their nursing degrees. I worked in roles that didn't completely utilise my abilities and had put everything on hold to raise my daughters. In order to get the UCAS points, I felt that now was the right time for me to complete an access course. I chose to search for a distance learning course that I could complete alongside my full time job due to my own financial obligations. After stumbling upon DistanceLearningCentre.com and liking the reviews that I read, I registered for the access course.
Throughout the course, the tutors' assistance was outstanding, the webinars provided further explanations, and the material were simple to understand. Writing academically was something I had never done before, but the feedback I was getting from the assignments helped my confidence grow. I found that writing in this way became enjoyable, and I eagerly anticipated the upcoming assignments. I was incredibly proud of myself and so was my family when I completed this course. I also had enough UCAS points to apply for the course I wanted to do. I've decided to take a year out before going to university and keep working due to employment obligations. I'm using this gap to complete some work experience in physiotherapy so that when I start university, I'll know more about this field. Securing admission to a university by 2025 is my next goal.

joined the Facebook group, the students support each other and are available to talk and offer advice so I never felt like I was alone whilst studying. - Gayle Sykes
My name is Gayle Sykes, I have worked as a Senior Healthcare Assistant within Community Nursing for almost nine years. It has been my life long ambition to qualify as a Registered Nurse but I lacked the 112 UCAS points required to apply for a place on the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) pre-registration programme. A friend recommended I enrol on an Access to Higher Education Diploma (Nursing and Midwifery) with the DistanceLearningCentre.com where I could gain the equivalent qualifications required to take me a step closer to progress in my career. I found DistanceLearningCentre.com offered an online learning programme which would allow me to study in my spare time whilst continuing to work full-time. They also offer a monthly payment plan so I could spread the cost of the course over twelve months.
My tutors were really helpful, they offered regular tutorial slots either by phone or Zoom where I could discuss my assignments and seek advice. The learning materials for each topic were extremely detailed and also highlighted further learning resources such as, links to specific websites and also guidance on how my assignments would be marked which gave an explanation on how to achieve my desired grades. I had access to Podcasts which gave more detailed explanation of assignment questions ensuring I fully understood them.
The DistanceLearningCentre.com website is easy to navigate and offers access to further learning resources within the library tab. For most of the topics tutors would deliver webinars and/or Question and Answer sessions which would look at the topics in more detail, during live webinars students have the opportunity to ask the tutors questions which was really helpful. There is also a student handbook which is packed with useful information and how to guides. I joined the Facebook group, the students support each other and are available to talk and offer advice so I never felt like I was alone whilst studying. I studied Health and Social Care, Psychology and Biology, the topics were fascinating which kept me enthusiastic, motivated and excited to learn more. I learned transferable skills such as independent learning, academic essay writing, referencing and improved greatly on my organisational skills.
I have to be honest and say the course wasn’t easy, it took commitment, determination, self-discipline and efficient planning, I completed the course in seventeen months and achieved forty-two Distinctions and three Merits, equivalent to 141 UCAS points. I am now a step closer to achieving my goal in becoming a Registered Nurse which wouldn’t have been possible without studying with DistanceLearningCentre.com. I am forty-nine years old and I am extremely proud to announce I have been offered and excepted a place on the BSN Pre-registration Programme with Keyll Darree Educational Centre, Isle of Man, in partnership with Chester University to commence 23rd September 2024. My advice to anyone considering studying with DistanceLearningCentre.com is to enrol, I am proof that completing this course opens doors and has given me the skills to succeed.
This experience has given me the confidence and momentum in fulfilling my dream of becoming a paramedic - Nick Bushrod
When I was younger, I did not have the opportunity to attend university, having left school early due to challenges related to being neurodiverse in an education system that was not yet equipped to help me. Nearly four decades later, I seized an opportunity to take a significant tangent in my life to pursue a dream career as a Paramedic for the NHS.
After extensive research, I chose the Paramedic BSc course at the University of Brighton and began looking for providers of the higher education diploma course recommended by their admissions team, in order to meet the tough entrance requirements. In my investigation of online course providers one name kept cropping up, receiving consistently high praise in online reviews, and that was DistanceLearningCentre.com, and it certainly lived up to its reputation.
Signing up was straightforward, and the quality and breadth of the online content immediately gave me confidence to embark on this new educational path. Despite initial nerves about tackling unfamiliar subjects and a lack of experience in academic writing, the library of online content and support from my tutors was exceptional. At every stage my tutors were always available to ensure I understood expectations and without fail responded comprehensively to all my questions. The course materials were well-structured, highly informative and included signposts to valuable resources that augmented my learning.
The various assignments were accompanied by well thought-out podcasts and guidance that helped my understanding of the criteria necessary to obtain high marks. In the end, I achieved distinctions in all my modules, and while the work was definitely demanding, the process of learning was incredibly enjoyable. Another aspect, that was totally unexpected, was the large online community which created a sense of belonging to a cohort, all with our individual goals.
I have nothing but praise for the course, which not only helped me meet the entrance requirements for my forthcoming degree but also provided a solid foundation for my future studies. This experience has given me the confidence and momentum in fulfilling my dream of becoming a paramedic.
