As a nursery teacher, with a bachelor’s degree in childhood studies and education, I felt the need to challenge myself further, whilst holding down a full-time job. DistanceLearningCentre.com was the perfect opportunity, with their flexibility and well-researched self-explanatory reading materials, that provided a wealth of knowledge for every topic. This was coupled up with their brilliant tutors who went an extra mile to offer both academic and emotional support.  I have now exceeded the required points to study adult nursing at Kingston University and I would highly recommend them for academic excellence and value for money services. Due to mental health issues through my adolescence, I had stopped attending school at 15 years old, leaving me with only a few GCSEs and no A-Levels. I had given up on my main childhood goal of studying a science at university, and felt completely stuck with no clear path ahead of me.

After being told about Access to HE courses, I discovered DistanceLearningCentre.com and decided to give their science diploma a go. It was incredibly daunting at first, especially after being out of education for 4 years, but the support was phenomenal – all of my anxieties were eased by my outstanding tutors, who offered all of the support and motivation I needed in a kind and professional manner.

This course has provided me with an unforgettable experience – one that turned my life around, reignited my confidence and passion for learning, and allowed me to achieve my goals again. Through the help of the exceptional UCAS support I received multiple offers from respected universities, and I feel more than prepared for whatever they may throw at me. My experience here taught me that you should never write off your dreams – thank you so much to Distancelearningcentre.com’s team! (June 2022)

If it wasn’t for DistanceLearningCentre.com I wouldn’t have gotten into University and be about to embark on my newest adventure in the adult nursing world! - Toni Bridle

For the past year I have completed multiple courses trying to gain UCAS points to allow me to fulfil my dream of becoming an adult nurse and progressing within my career pathway, however along the way I faced many bumps in the road and the courses I had completed provided me with credits rather that UCAS points. I struggled to find a course that provided me with these points that also worked around the hours I was available, and because of this I had lost all hope of getting into university until I stumbled across DistanceLearningCentre.com online.

From that moment my hopes were restored. The course seemed almost too good to be true, an online course that can be completed in my own time? What is the catch I kept asking myself! I did some research and couldn’t find anything but positive feedback.

From then on, I applied and DistanceLearningCentre.com finally enabled me to get onto the right pathway and opened up so many opportunities!

To start with I was nervous as I wouldn’t say I am the most academic person but that was short lived after I met my first tutor who was amazing. The information provided and the professional approach made learning easy! I was actually enjoying learning! All the tutors were amazing and I couldn’t have asked for better to push me in the right direction not only to just achieve a pass but they knew my capabilities better than I did and made me excel to achieve higher grades and never allowed me to give up even when my emotions got the better of me.

The course in general has helped me develop not only my skills and knowledge but also gain confidence in my own abilities as I never thought I would be able to complete this course whilst working within the NHS through the global pandemic, facing new challenges every day and being pushed beyond my limits, let alone be able to complete this diploma in as little as 6 months without the support, encouragement and guidance provided from all the tutors within DistanceLearningCentre.com. I am incredibly grateful that they kept me motivated and determined to succeed without letting me give up!

I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to do achieve an access course from home, the structure and way it was managed has been second to none and I only wish they could be part of my upcoming journey! If it wasn’t for DistanceLearningCentre.com I wouldn’t have gotten into university and be about to embark on my newest adventure in the adult nursing world! (June 2022)

It’s never too late to change career, and never think you can’t do it or you’re not good enough. - Chris Rose

It was in my second year at college that I realised the computing BND I was studying for was not the right course for me, I knew I didn’t want to take that career pathway. However, I had to be determined and stick it out for the qualification. I thought I had missed the chance to go to university as I was unsure what I was passionate about, so I never applied; I didn’t know what my vocation was. Fast forward many years, I unsuccessfully found a career in many different jobs. I signed up to the British Army, working in logistics; a trade that I was good at however never felt the passion for.

During a PT session I suffered a spinal injury and after a long time of rehabilitation, I had a relapse. Looking into the possibility of surgery, I found the fascinating role of Operating Department Practitioner (ODP). The perioperative process has similarities to the phases of movements. However, it felt special to me as a fundamental requirement of an ODP was to ensure the patients were supported and cared through their perioperative journey of anaesthesia, surgery and post anaesthetic recovery. I knew this is what I wanted to do, this is what I cared about, this is my vocation. How do I get there though? It had been nearly 17 years since I left college, and I was fearful of learning again academically, especially in writing essays. This is the opposite of what I do in my military career.

Speaking to a colleague about my desire for a new career, I was informed about DistanceLearningCentre.com and I learned about access to HE courses. This was my path to university. I was so excited and so I took the plunge and enrolled into an Access to HE Diploma in Allied Health Professions with help from my military Enhanced Learning Credits. I was truly surprised at the level of support that was offered to me. There was a whole section of preparing to progress to university, as well as an amazing development phase that allowed me to feel comfortable with academic writing and it took all my fears away. It was then, I realised I could do this. This was teaching excellence at its finest. I felt motivated and confident I could get the best out myself. My tutors were so supportive throughout the journey, always there when I needed them and so quickly too, always responding to emails by the end of the day. I found the feedback they gave was constructive and informative. I could study in my own time and never felt pressured to complete assessments by deadlines, an extension was always granted. The experience has been life changing and the knowledge and skills that I’ve learned places me in an excellent position for preparing to study further education at university.

I can’t thank DistanceLearningCentre.com and my tutors enough for enabling me to reach my potential with all their guidance, help and support. I am so impressed that I have spread the word to my work colleagues, with some of them starting their DistanceLearningCentre.com journey. It’s never too late to change career, and never think you can’t do it or you’re not good enough, studying with the DistanceLearningCentre.com will show you that you can achieve what you set out for. Being in my forty’s and running my full-time childminding job, also trying to have time with my family and not very confident with my English and computer skills. I was very nervous about starting my early years childhood diploma. But I was very wrong. I was able to access all the material with ease and my tutor was excellent. All in all, I enjoyed studying with DistanceLearningCentre.com and now I am looking forward to higher education.
