I enrolled onto the DistanceLearningCentre.com access course in January 2010 because it was easier for me to study at home, as I have four children, and it's great that you get to study at your own pace, never rushed. The course itself has been very enjoyable, but also testing at times, although I found a lot of help on the DistanceLearningCentre.com forums and also the tutors were a great help at all times.

Anybody wanting to join and do the Access Course with DistanceLearningCentre.com, do; join now!! I have also wanted to go to university and never thought it was possible until I came across DistanceLearningCentre.com. Now on completing the access course I am a step further to fulfilling my dream! Thanks DistanceLearningCentre.com....here I come career!!

Studying with DistanceLearningCentre.com is a fantastic way of gaining a recognised and quality qualification while still retaining a bit of a life and not interfering with family commitments too much. The support has been second to none and although the workload as been what you'd expect for a qualification like this, it hasn't been too stressful and the little pushes and encouragement have made it a successful straightforward and relatively simple process.

The workload can be effectively managed by regularly updating ILPs and liaising with your personal tutor, which you have email support anytime as well as a weekly call- and of course motivation and dedication from yourself!

All in all I would recommend this method of distance learning to anyone wishing to gain the Diploma but unable to or don't wish not to attend a traditional college course and I am glad I chose DistanceLearningCentre.com over my local college.

I completed the Access to Higher Education Diploma (Midwifery) with DistanceLearningCentre.com in order to get the qualifications needed to go to university to study a Midwifery degree. I chose DistanceLearningCentre.com over a traditional college access course because I could work at my own pace and still work full time before I left for university.

I found that the course materials were really helpful and the assessments were set to challenge your knowledge on the subject. It was challenging and at times hard, but very rewarding and has given me the confidence to study at a higher level. My tutor was very helpful and on hand whenever I needed and I was able to set my own deadlines to complete the course. I felt the subjects were relevant and has laid the foundations for me to become a university student, particularly by completing essays and coursework which I haven't done since leaving school 10 years ago.

It took me just over a year to complete the course and I received offers from my top two choices of university and will be going onto study a Midwifery degree in September 2011. I could not have done this without DistanceLearningCentre.com!

I have just completed my Access to Midwifery Diploma with DistanceLearningCentre.com and have been offered a place at my first choice university to study Midwifery in September. I never thought I would be able to fulfil my dream of becoming a midwife after learning that I could only qualify by going to university. I could not afford to give up my full time job to go to college to get the access qualifications. Then I found DistanceLearningCentre.com in an online search.

It was hard working full time and completing the course but I have managed to complete it whilst still carrying on with my job which has allowed my to save enough money to go to university also. The tutors were great and very flexible. They are always just a call or an email away and so supportive. Thanks to the flexibility of the course and tutors and my hard work, I can now fulfil my dream of becoming a midwife!

My plans to become a midwife were stopped short 10 years ago when a death in the family meant that I became involved in, and eventually had to manage the family business full time. I decided to make steps towards my dream two years ago when I discovered that I could study from home at my own pace with DistanceLearningCentre.com in order to bring my qualifications back up to date.

Although I found the course very tough at times and a lot of self motivation was needed, I do believe that this will stand me in good stead when I start my degree. As an adult learner, you have to learn to take the responsibility to keep on top of your studies and learn that no one else is going to do the work for you. Independent/distance learning is difficult and can be very lonely, but with the support of your tutors and your peers it is definately worth every second in the end.

My tutor was very supportive and knew when I needed a push in the right direction and when I needed to be left to it. I have also made some good friends through DistanceLearningCentre.com, a couple of us that started at the same time have helped each other through the difficult times, have offered support to each other and will remain friends as we progress through our careers and our lives.

Thanks to DistanceLearningCentre.com offering me a chance to study from home at my own pace. I achieved the qualifications needed to apply to university and I will be starting my Midwifery degree at Worcester University in February 2012.
