I started my Access to Nursing course in August 2020 having not studied for many years. I was very apprehensive and lacked confidence in my own abilities. I didn't believe that I was capable of completing my course or gaining the grades needed to get into my first-choice university to be able to go on to follow my dream of becoming a nurse. During the course I struggled with anxiety especially when it came to doing my exams. However the tutors were kind, supportive, and patient and most importantly motivated me to carry on when I found it tough. Studying online instead of in a class room allowed me to continue to work full time. I began studying the Access to Allied Health Professions Diploma with DistanceLearningCentre.com in October 2020, with a view to getting into university to become a Midwife.

At the height of the Covid pandemic, lots of people around me were learning online but it was something I hadn't done before, made even more daunting by the fact I had been out of education for 15 years.

Enrolment was easy and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Anything they couldn't answer they would always find out and get back to me promptly.

My tutors were available during unsociable hours which was a blessing to me as I did most of my course later in the evening after work and once my 2 children were asleep.
