"My tutor always had the advice and explanation at the right time and place."
I finally realised I needed to chase my dreams - Jessica Pilo-Beech
I have always wanted to be a midwife, but had never been brave enough to take the leap to change careers. Since I left school in 2012 I committed to full time work in an industry I did not have a true passion for, but I had finally realised I needed to chase my dreams.
I made the decision to do just that and enrolled on the Access to Midwifery and Nursing with DistanceLearningCentre.com. I carried on in full time work and found it incredibly challenging to find the time to commit to the workload that the course brought along with it, but I did and absolutely loved it, and I really felt like I had a purpose, getting that little bit closer to my end goal after every assessment was submitted.
The tutors were so helpful and so prompt and clear with their responses and feedback and I surprised myself after every assessment and realised that hard work really does pay off. I have so far been offered two University interviews and hope to carry on the journey towards my dream career, something I couldn't have done without the DistanceLearningCentre.com. (Nov 2018)
Leaving school with GCSE's does not restrict you to achieving qualifications in life and the DistanceLearningCentre.com has helped me to do exactly that - Megan Wilson
Since leaving school at 16 due to a job opportunity I have always made a promise to myself to go back and do my A-levels. I made an attempt to do Biology and Psychology as separate courses online through a different source and found it far too difficult. After a second attempt with DistanceLearningCentre.com I eventually achieved my goal and found it far better achieving the qualifications through an access course. The layout of the course and the help from the tutors made it much less stressful.
Parts of the course had me in tears (mainly because it was completely new to me!) I never thought I would get through it in the end, especially after a slight hick up in the middle due to illness but I persevered and am so glad I did! Having access to student forums and chatting with other students on Facebook definitely helped with taking the pressure off and speaking to other people going through the same thing.
Studying with DistanceLearningCentre.com is definitely one of the biggest achievements I have made for myself and if it means I get into university next year I will be over the moon!
It goes to show leaving school with GCSE's does not restrict you to achieving qualifications in life and the DistanceLearningCentre.com has helped me to do exactly that. I can't thank them enough for all the help and support I have received throughout my studies and I definitely feel it has set me up well for university. (Nov 2018)
Fully accredited and moderated and accepted by all of the Universities I was going to apply for - Dave Blount
Having followed my interests with working in the cycling industry for the past 6 years I'd begun to realise that my biggest enjoyment came from helping others. I'd always had a desire in my 20's to work in a biological or sporting professional field and having undergone physiotherapy for a few injuries throughout my competitive cycling years, I decided I'd look further into that. As I researched more and spoke to a physiotherapist friend I decided that this ticked all the boxes for my personality and the lifestyle I wanted. I found out what grades I'd need to get onto a University course and set about finding a way of studying an Access Diploma whilst working full-time and that's where I came across DistanceLearningCentre.com. With DistanceLearningCentre.com being fully accredited and moderated and accepted by all of the Universities I was going to apply for I wasted no more time.
Self-determination, the well structured course and tutors that gave me areas I could improve on and detailed feedback lead me to surpass my required grades and helped to boost my confidence that I could still study at any age.
I found that what got me through was the enjoyment of the process itself and not struggling through to the end. I treated the learning material as if it was important for my future career and not just checkboxes of boring material, which it really isn't. If you really want to achieve a goal, organisation and planning will always help you vastly but determination to achieve it will carry you through the hardest days. I fully recommend this course to anyone. (Nov 2018)
My tutor always had the advice and explanation at the right time and place - Sarmite Silina
I found DistanceLearningCentre.com online when I was looking for the opportunity to find the access course to the higher education. I wanted to get qualified in the sphere I enjoyed working. They offered a comfortable way of learning in my free time so I got to know the ways, intensity and scope of the learning in a process which was very different from my studies in my own language.
I want to say great thanks to my tutor who always had the advice and explanation at the right time and place. I consider him the best ever tutor in my whole life education experience. I cried with every re-submission, but I gained confidence in what I did and gained successfully an offer to join the university course.
I want to thank the administration staff for always giving quick answers on my questions and problems solved at the right time. I highly value the standards at which the centre works and warmly recommend it to those who are eager to learn and reach their goals. (Nov 2018)
