The course materials are excellent and the assessments were relevant to future studies - Michelle Heath

Becoming a midwife has been a lifelong dream. DistanceLearningCentre.com was the beginning of my journey as a mature student. What a journey it has been. The challenge of completing the access course in less than a year, whilst working part-time, with 4 young children, one with autism who has daily struggles and challenges, 1 parent being diagnosed with cancer, another suffering with a heart condition and extremely high blood pressure, and another who has had several operations for physical illnesses, has been emotionally and mentally exhausting.

My determination and passion and very supportive tutors, have enabled me to successfully complete my course as well as reaching my target grades. I am so unbelievably proud of myself and my achievements.

The Access to Nursing and Midwifery has been intense, extremely difficult, but very rewarding. The late nights, weekends, sweat and tears have been entirely worth it. The course materials are excellent and the assessments were relevant to future studies.

My confidence in my ability to study and learn has vastly increased and I feel fully prepared and ready for university; the next stage in my journey.

For anyone thinking of online learning, I would highly recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com. Time management is an essential skill, self-motivation with a passion and desire to reach your goal, and you will succeed. Believe you can, and you will. Don't wish for it, work for it! Good luck and smile through it all. (Jul 2019)

I contacted my local university last year and DistanceLearningCentre.com was recommended to me - Jenny Thomas

I am 36 and a mum of 2 young girls. I have a great job that I love but have always dreamed of being a midwife. I contacted my local university last year and enquired as to what I would need as entry requirements and DistanceLearningCentre.com was recommended to me; I needed to obtain 30 credits at distinction level, to include 15 biology credits, and a further 15 credits at merit level. Having a young family, working a stressful job, and volunteering each week I worried about finding the time to achieve this level of study, but decided to look up DistanceLearningCentre.com. I was impressed by the reviews and their website, and it appeared to offer the flexibility I needed. I enrolled and my first tutor was really helpful. I had enrolled on an Access to Midwifery Course but we discussed me doing the Access to Allied Health Professionss course, as it offered more biology credits and would be a better opportunity for gaining the necessary grades I required.

I started in October 2018, with a view to taking a year and applying to my university following this; however, after finding out in March 2019 that my university was still accepting applications I decided to apply to see how it went! Rebecca again was fab, she did a reference really quickly for me and we discussed that I would need to complete the course by the end of May to meet the moderation deadline - therefore needing to drastically alter my learning plan! I used the UCAS guidance on the DistanceLearningCentre.com website and applied, and was offered an interview really quickly. After interviewing in April, I was offered a place at my chosen university subject to achieving the above grades. I couldn't believe it! I moved onto the Biology modules and met my next tutor, who again was really helpful and supportive - especially since I had to really work hard to meet the approaching deadline.

I have just found out that I have achieved the required grades and cannot thank my tutors and DistanceLearningCentre.com enough. I am looking forward to my career change and a new challenge starting this year, and feel like this course has really set me up well. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality, flexible approach to distance learning and access to university; it has helped me to achieve my dream. (Jul 2019)

After research I realised the access course is fully accredited and recognised by universities - Sally Wilkinson

After having my son 2 years ago, I got used to the idea of a career in nursing being a bit of a fantasy. Although I'd worked in healthcare for 7 years, I still required the academic grades to be able to secure a place at university. This is when I discovered DistanceLearningCentre.com!

I was sceptical at first, however after research I realised the access course is fully accredited and recognised by universities. I even completed a Maths Progression Award which was also accepted by my university choice.

It was testing at times, however just know that if you have the interest and motivation to achieve, you will! I completed the access course within 6 months, studying every night. It was intense but it just goes to show that you can!

I have now been accepted in to the university of my choice and will begin my studies in to adult nursing this coming September. I never thought it would happen to me, thanks to DistanceLearningCentre.com I have been able to realise my dream. (Jul 2019)

In addition to the academic qualification, the course has given me confidence in my abilities - Sam Kenward

I am a 44 year old mother of 3 boys. I decided a few years ago to pursue a long held desire to train as a midwife, I started this journey by getting my maths GCSE, I then started looking at Access to Nursing courses. Work commitments meant I needed the flexibility that an online provider would give me. A student midwife I was working with recommended DistanceLearningCentre.com; I'm so glad I listened to her advice!

Through DistanceLearningCentre.com I have obtained 45 Credits at Distinction in an Access to Nursing and Midwifery course. I have gained a place to study midwifery at the only university that I applied to.

In addition to the academic qualification that I needed, the course has given me confidence in my abilities. It has has been tough, I've been lucky to have the unwavering support from my husband and family and have worked really hard to complete the course in 9 months whilst working full time and trying my best to be a good mum and wife.

I now feel an amazing sense of achievement and pride as my hard work has paid off. I felt particularly rewarded when reading a message in my Mothers Day card, written by my 17 year old son who said "I'm very proud of how hard you work so you can do something you feel passionate about". My Tutors have been encouraging and supportive and have been really quick to reply to emails.

Thank you DistanceLearningCentre.com, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone wanting to do an Access to Higher Education course. (Jul 2019)
