I would recommend it to anyone as I preferred it greatly to mainstream education - Bella Cavill

I have always wanted to study midwifery with the dream of working at the Portland Hospital in London!

I started this course in May 2017 and managed to complete it in just over a year and loved every minute of it.

I would recommend it to anyone as I preferred it greatly to mainstream education. My next goal is to attend the University of Hertfordshire in September! (Jun 2018)

Enabled me to submit my UCAS application and personal statement with real confidence - Joy O'Gorman

The DLC Access course into nursing provided me with a vital passport into University as a mature student. The tick box for me was being able to learn at my own pace, beginning any time of year (January 2018) and fitting study around work. My goal was to finish by the end of May 2018 for June moderation, so I could start university in Sept 2018; it was a big ask, but I did it!

The first modules, self-development and applying to university enabled me to submit my UCAS application and personal statement with real confidence. The course really helps you step by step achieve what is needed to apply. Within ten days of my application, I had been invited to interview! This along with tutors positive and helpful feedback on my first assessments inspired me to crack on. Emails with queries were answered same day and each tutor enabled me to move through each module with growing confidence.

It was a conditional offer from my university that I acquire the 60 credits needed, for a place, but to be honest even if it wasn't, I would recommend doing the Access course as it really does give you good grounding. During my university open day (March 2018), a second-year nursing student told us that her peers who had gone through Access courses were better able to cope with the degree requirements, especially in biology and referencing, she struggled but was getting there.

My university advised I do an access course and once I found DistanceLearningCentre.com online, where I could study, while I worked, that was it, full speed ahead. I've now finished with well above the required distinctions and merits needed and have three months to relax (relatively speaking) before I start university in September to fulfil my bucket list of becoming a nurse.

Thank you to DistanceLearningCentre.com and all the team for a great pathway into university. I am so excited to begin this new chapter! (Jun 2018)

I'm now reaping the rewards having a secured a place at University - Louise Elliott

I'm a 41 year old mum to 12 and 11 year old boys, originally from Hull in East Yorkshire. I relocated to Caerphilly in South Wales 16 years ago with my husband's job.

Four years ago I started working throughout numerous local primary schools administering road safety training which I have found thoroughly rewarding. I just love being amongst children in a school environment and being a Kerbcraft Trainer is what has inspired me to want to become a Primary School Teacher.

Two years ago I decided to bite the bullet and put the wheels into motion in order to achieve my dream. It was a daunting prospect having been out of education for so long but it was an itch I definitely wanted to scratch and I'm so glad that I took the plunge.

In June 2017 I re-sat my Maths GCSE exam to bump up my grade from a C to a B following which I then embarked on an Access to Higher Education Diploma in Primary Education and English with the fabulous DistanceLearningCentre.com. In May I completed my course with 36 Distinctions and 9 Merits which I was absolutely over the moon with. It has been a challenging time juggling work, studies and family life but the support I've received from both my family and my wonderful tutor, has been worth it's weight in gold. I'm now reaping the rewards having a secured a place at the University of South Wales studying a BA Hons Degree in Primary Studies with QTS starting next month!

As Kylie Minogue would say, "It's never too late, you've still got time!" (Jun 2018)

I chose to study with DistanceLearningCentre.com because it allowed me to work while I was studying - Sophie Chandler

I began working at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital as an apprentice Healthcare Assistant in January 2015. By the end of my year apprenticeship I wanted to study adult nursing at University. However, I left school after finishing my GCSE's and went to college to study Child Care so I did not meet the academic entry requirements for the course. I applied for an Adult Nursing Degree at the University of the West of England to be considered through experience. Unfortunately I didn't have enough experience at the time.

I contacted UWE again to ask what was the best way to gain academic entry requirements for the course and they recommended studying an Access to Higher Education Course at a local college or studying the Access to Nursing and Midwifery course with DistanceLearningCentre.com.

I chose to study with DistanceLearningCentre.com because it allowed me to work while I was studying. I had also been working full time while doing my apprenticeship so I knew how to balance my studies, work and social life. Studying with DistanceLearningCentre.com has also given me vital skills I will need at university.

DistanceLearningCentre.com has helped me reach my goal of being offered a place at the University of Gloucestershire to study Adult Nursing in January 2019. (Jun 2018)

I was working as an administrator for radiographers, now I am on my way to becoming one - Rebecca Mutch

Before I started at DistanceLearningCentre.com, I was working as an administrator for radiographers, now I am on my way to becoming one! I've studied the Access to HE science Diploma and although it took me a little longer than first planned, I have gained knowledge and received offers at my university choices; all whilst working full time and juggling family life.

I did not want to give up work for a couple of years to go back to college so this course has been perfect for me as I could continue working up until I start university! The tutors were very supportive and approachable, even when I was struggling with the assignment or the timescales. I'm very happy I have studied with DistanceLearningCentre.com and would highly recommend them. (Jun 2018)
