DistanceLearningCentre.com has given me such a boost of confidence - Keira Kirwan

Before enrolling with the DistanceLearningCentre.com I was working in administration full time. As much as I enjoy working in administration, my passion lies with teaching and helping children to ensure they have the best start in education.

I thought that I missed my opportunity to pursue the career I dreamed of because I left school and went to study administration instead of achieving Alevels but when I came across the DistanceLearningCentre.com website I realised I could study whilst working ? I was ecstatic.

The course I studied was the Access to Higher Education Diploma (Primary Teaching) (English). I finished the course with all distinctions which I still cannot believe! I am so proud of myself and so grateful to the DistanceLearningCentre.com for all of their support.

I have met the requirements for the university course I wish to study however due to circumstances I won't be able study this year but I have my heart set on my goal to go to university as soon as I can and become a qualified teacher!

DistanceLearningCentre.com has given me such a boost of confidence and made me even more determined to be the teacher I want to be in the near future. I would recommend (in fact I have) to anyone simply because of the fantastic tutor support, quality of the learning materials and the easy way to submit, make payment, download and navigate on the website. Has shown me what will be expected of me at university and has better prepared me - Sophie Tubb

I was working full time as a dispenser at Boots, as I didn't get into University straight after finishing my A-Levels. Studying Access to HE diploma (Allied Health Professions) has allowed me to re-apply for university but as a nurse this time, and I have a much better chance of succeeding.

This diploma has shown me what will be expected of me at university and has better prepared me for this. I'm so glad I did this Diploma. (Nov 2017)

I really enjoyed the course and finished with distinctions in all but one of my assignments, if I can do it you can! - Katie Golding

Hi I'm Katie, I work 37 hours a week in the public sector doing different shifts I also have a 1 year old and a 3 year old.

I wanted to change career to be a midwife and found the DistanceLearningCentre.com structure was brilliant as it allowed me to study when I had free time and suited me. Being able to email my tutors meant I could send my queries, when I had them, and not have to wait, the tutors were great!

I really enjoyed the course and finished with distinctions in all but one of my assignments, if I can do it you can! (Nov 2017)

Before starting my access diploma it was hard to imagine going to study at university but now I feel ready and capable - Poppy Salenius

After being out of education for a while, I was hesitant to start my access course and worried about the support I'd receive, as well as my own ability. I needn't have worried!

Both my tutors were extremely supportive. They motivated me to strive for the best, gave me ample support when I had questions about the work and I really felt like they cared about my success too. I am so grateful for them.

Before starting my access course it was hard to imagine going to study at university but now I feel ready and capable. I am both proud and excited to say that I have now received an offer to study midwifery at King's College London, something a year ago I thought was way out of my reach.

Thank you so much to everyone at DistanceLearningCentre.com for making my journey possible. And to anyone looking to study an access course, DistanceLearningCentre.com is the way to go! (Nov 2017)

When I came across their Access to Social Work course I couldn't have been happier; the course content was perfect and the time to study was flexible - Emma Hamilton-Brown

I have known for a few years that I have wanted to become social worker however it had always felt like an impossible dream. I left school twenty years ago without particularly good results, and have spent my time raising a family and working various retail jobs. Although I had progressed well in in some of my roles I knew I wanted to do something different, but didn't know I could due to my academic past and family commitments.

In 2016 I decided to take the plunge and I started researching different routes to higher education. When I came across DistanceLearningCentre.com and their Access to Social Work course I couldn't have been happier; the course content was perfect and the time to study was flexible.

The learning materials were clear and provided a great insight into the many different areas of social work. The assessments were well set out and often encouraged further reading of the subject to expand your knowledge.

The support from my tutor was fantastic, he would email weekly to see how I was getting on and to check if I needed a tutorial, he was also available at other times to answer any questions and responded to emails quickly.

Whilst it was hard at times juggling study, family and work, completing the course is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. It has provided me with a solid foundation of knowledge in social work and given me the confidence to apply to university, something I never thought was possible. I am now looking forward to studying at degree level and then starting an exciting new career in social work! (Nov 2017)
