"I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, encouragement and support throughout."
I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, encouragement and support throughout - Becky Fulcher
I met Paramedics through working in a GP surgery and was always in awe of them and had the utmost respect for what they did. I aspired to help in the way they did, providing emergency care on the frontline. I didn't achieve A levels, and this was an entry condition of the University degree.
I decided to sign up with DistanceLearningCentre.com as that would enable me to continue working full time and I could complete the course at my own pace. I began the Access to Paramedicine course in mid-October and applied for University in December. I was invited for interview and was given a conditional offer of a place at University providing I achieved distinctions in the access course. I completed the course in early May and had achieved distinctions for every graded unit!
There were times when I felt the course was too difficult and would never end but encouragement from my tutors helped me through and I will now be starting a BSc (Hons) Paramedic Practitioner degree this September at The University of Plymouth. I am so grateful to DistanceLearningCentre.com for helping me to achieve my dream. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, encouragement and support throughout. (Jun 2018)
Whenever I needed them, they were there and they felt more like friends - Ahmad Khan
I left school 3 years ago with 10 GCSEs and started an A-Level programme at my local Sixth Form College. However, due to ill health I was unable to complete my A-Levels. I was so disappointed and I did not know what I was going to do. So I began working voluntarily for an Internet pharmacy and then secured a part-time job as a counter assistant in a community pharmacy. It was during this time that pharmacy became of interest to me, I wanted to help people and what better way than helping them to look after their health, and well-being. About 9 months ago I decided I wanted a change in my life and to pursue a career in pharmacy. I started researching and talking to a family member who directed me towards the Access to HE Diploma in Science course at DistanceLearningCentre.com.
Being out of education for nearly 2 years and as the course was by distance learning made the start of the course challenging, but the tutors were excellent! Whenever I needed them, they were there and they felt more like friends when helping me with my studies. As time went on I found myself becoming more independent and the flexible workload was perfect for fitting in assignments around my part-time employment. I have now completed my course and achieved 45 Distinctions which is more than I could have ever hoped for. I could never have achieved this without the tutors!
I am so glad that I decided to go ahead with the Access to HE Diploma in Science. I have now secured a place to study pharmacy at Bradford University!
I want to say a massive thank you for all the help along the way, and I would urge anyone else thinking of pursuing a career to just go for it and give DistanceLearningCentre.com a go! (Jun 2018)
The online forums are fantastic and the tutors are great - Karen Odle
I have been out of education for many years and needed to complete an access course to get into university in September. Having two small children, made it incredibly hard to study at times and throughout the course, there have been many ups and downs, including a loss. I fell back in my studies and felt like giving up but I kept reminding myself of the reason I was doing this in the first place. I spent many late nights completing assessments and finally managed to catch up and finish my course in time for moderation.
Distance learning is incredibly hard, but the online forums are fantastic and the tutors are great. It has been a rewarding experience for me, and has built not only my confidence but my perseverance and determination as well. I'm looking forward to my career as an Occupational Therapist. Thank you! (Jun 2018)
The regular tutorials were extremely helpful ? nothing was too much trouble for them to address - Caroline Gray
As an experienced Teaching Assistant, I have worked with children in both primary and secondary settings for 15 years, here in England and Australia. I always had the desire to go onto teaching, particularly, Special Needs, and it's now that I have the time to pursue my career as my children are now grown up and independent. Not having the entry requirements for University, led me to research distance learning courses. It was during this research I came across DistanceLearningCentre.com. Following a telephone conversation discussing which course direction to study, I opted for the Access to HE Diploma: Education Professions (Science). Initially, I was overwhelmed with the course content, but with my tutor's reassurance and guidance, after my first assignment, it was evident how each assignment was set out with clear guidelines and procedures. The course content is supplied with so much useful information and where there were areas I was struggling with, my tutors would forward additional useful links. Any queries I had were answered without hesitation and the regular tutorials were extremely helpful ? nothing was too much trouble for them to address.
It was hard work, as this is A level standard, and I lacked confidence and doubted my abilities, particularly being a mature student, but with good time management, discipline and great tutor support, I achieved Merits and Distinctions throughout. My tutors were professional throughout with excellent subject knowledge and I would not have been able to achieve this success without their support and equally, the love and support from my family, who also gave me strength and encouragement.
DistanceLearningCentre.com is a great learning tool and I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to use their site; if I can do this, then anyone can.
My next step is to commence my BA degree in Education at my chosen University, and again, my tutor helped greatly with my university application, of which I was delighted to have been offered a place, and although I still have a bit of a journey, this would not have been possible without the total dedication and support from my tutors, who were, quite simply, truly amazing. Having tried other online study programs in the past through different organisations, I finally found the right fit - Conor Dalgarno
I'd known for a long time before starting with DistanceLearningCentre.com that I was spinning my wheels. Whilst I was getting by with my own little business, it wasn't leading anywhere and I knew that the only real solution for the career I wanted was to go back to University and study Law. Unfortunately I definitely didn't have the A Levels to back that up and with Law being a notoriously difficult career to break into I knew that I wanted to make sure I studied at a Russel Group University to increase my odds... enter DistanceLearningCentre.com.
I'd recommend the Law & Criminology HE Diploma to just about anybody looking to breach into the subject. The shift midway between the two topics kept things interesting and the focus on succint essay writing and the eternal search for decent references are two of the primary skills needed on any Law Degree. Whilst it wasn't always easy and starting a little late in October added some pressure, I had a great tutor who was always there to help as need be and provided quick insightful markings of my work.
After all this I've got myself a place studying Law at King's College London for this coming September, something that didn't seem possible a year or so ago. This could really set me up for a successful long-term career and after having tried other online study programs in the past through different organisations, well, I finally found the right fit with DistanceLearningCentre.com. Recommended to anyone, it's never too late to make the change you've been wanting. (Jun 2018)
