It taught me how to learn; and the more I learnt, the more my confidence grew - Ashleigh Gardner

I had my first child at 19, and left college halfway through my A-Levels. Whilst looking after a baby full-time, I didn't have time to go back to college and re-take my qualifications and ultimately accepted that I would never be able to go to university. However, whilst pregnant with my son in 2015, I discovered DistanceLearningCentre.com and decided to take the plunge and go for it.

The first thing I will tell you is it is not easy, you must be motivated, self-disciplined and determined, but I managed it with a new-born and a 2 year old!

The thing I loved the most about studying with DistanceLearningCentre.com is that I feel it taught me how to learn; and the more I learnt, the more my confidence grew. I would recommend them to anyone. The tutors have been fantastic; they were always patient, encouraging and supportive and the course itself was fascinating.

I have now finished my Access to Allied Health Professions Diploma, and I have a place to study Midwifery at the University of Cumbria in September! Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. (Jun 2017)

The Diploma has given me vital skills for higher education - Steven Wilson

I have worked for South East Coast Ambulance Service, as a technician, since 2004 and my goal has always been to become qualified paramedic.

When I was seven years old I was found to have dyslexia, so struggled and found school difficult, this resulted in poor grades when I graduated. To move on and get onto a degree course I needed to complete an Access to Higher Education Diploma.

I have three young children and work a full-time shift pattern so I needed to enrol onto a flexible course; that is why I chose the Access to Higher Education Diploma (Paramedicine) through DistanceLearningCentre.com.

I found that with my busy lifestyle I could put in the work at a time that suited me. The course has been incredibly interesting, enjoyable and difficult at times. The tutors are very friendly, helpful and answer any questions promptly. I would recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com to anyone who wants to improve their education and achieve their dreams.

Since completing my Diploma I have applied for, and completed interviews at St George's University Hospital London. I am now looking forward to the next stage in my education as I have been offered a place on the Paramedic Science BSc (Hons) degree course starting in September 2017.

The Diploma has given me vital skills for higher education, greatly improved my self-confidence in my academic abilities from the Distinctions I have gained, and has proven that with commitment and hard work you can achieve your goals. (Jun 2017)

For people like me, who want to venture into higher education but do not have all the entry requirements, DistanceLearningCentre.com is the perfect way to go.

The staff were very supportive and motivating and the email responses were swift. You didn't have to wait too long to have a tutorial if you needed one for an assignment. Everything was clear and done at your pace. I am glad I made the choice to study with DistanceLearningCentre.com. (Jun 2017)

I wanted a career change from PR so I signed up with DistanceLearningCentre.com as I could chase my dream of becoming a midwife.

The year I studied turned out to be tougher than I thought as I had a baby and was diagnosed with diabetes, but the course's flexibility meant I managed it all with top grades.

I was lucky enough to secure a really competitive place to study midwifery at my local university and I start in September. DistanceLearningCentre.com made it all possible - thank you! (Jun 2017)

It has changed my life and I am grateful to my tutors for helping me reach my potential - Shannon Fenton

I was looking for a way to study while gaining work experience and found DistanceLearningCentre.com. I have thoroughly enjoyed my course and it has given me a new passion for learning.

Before I started I had little confidence in my ability to succeed but now I am confident that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. Although I fell behind with assignments a couple of times, my tutors supported and encouraged me to get back on track. If I was struggling with anything my tutor was happy to help and if I needed more time to complete an assignment due to work commitments, my tutor would grant me an extension which was very helpful.

I will be studying Biomedical Science at Lancaster University this year and I am excited and optimistic about my future. I can't thank DistanceLearningCentre.com enough for everything they have done, it has changed my life and I am grateful to my tutors for helping me reach my potential.

I would definitely recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com to those who would like to work, look after a family or travel while studying. It was challenging at times but more than worth it in the end. (Jun 17)
