I came across DistanceLearningCentre.com when I was started looking at universities that taught Dental therapy. I didn't have all the required academic qualifications so I started looking for an access course. After looking through the DistanceLearningCentre.com website and reading other people's stories I knew it was right for me.

I sent an email with a few questions and a week later I had started the Access to HE Diploma (Science). I worked exceptionally hard and completed the course in 8 months. My tutors were absolutely amazing and so supportive. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and am overwhelmed by the opportunity it has given me.

Since completing the course I have been offered a place at St Bartholomew's Hospital and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University. Thank you to the DLC and the amazing tutors!! (Jun 2017)

I attended a University open day and was advised to do an Access to Higher Education Diploma suggesting that l can either do it in a college or with DistanceLearningCentre.com.

After researching DistanceLearningCentre.com, I enrolled as it gave me the opportunity to study from home which helped me manage my time well. The fees are affordable and l was able to pay in instalments interest free.

My tutors were exceptional and supportive giving me constructive and useful feedback on every completed assessment. I received two offers from my university choices before l completed my course. I would not hesitate to recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com to anyone. Thank you for making my dreams come true. (Jun 2017)

Prior to undertaking the Access to Physiotherapy with DistanceLearningCentre.com, I was working as a personal trainer and events co-ordinator within a private fitness facility. As a mature student, my goal was to re-introduce myself to learning at a higher level of education, with a view to gaining a place at University to study Physiotherapy.

DistanceLearningCentre.com has allowed me to develop my knowledge of the relevant subject area, whilst the support I received from my tutors helped improve my skills, knowledge and understanding of how to study again. The course gave me a structured plan of attack whilst allowing the flexibility needed when juggling full time work amongst my other commitments.

It wasn't just the course they helped me with. They also provided information, guidance and references when developing my university application - something that has been an essential part of me receiving a number of offers from universities for September.

For someone who didn't do very well at A-Level (mainly because I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do!) studying with DistanceLearningCentre.com has opened the door to university and allowed me to pursue an exciting career change. Thank you DistanceLearningCentre.com! (Jun 2017)

It was with much trepidation that I enrolled with DistanceLearningCentre.com to complete an Access course in Allied Healthcare. As a mature student, who left formal education 30 years ago and having only experienced classroom tutoring, I was sceptical about my abilities to adjust to distance learning.

From day one I was warmly welcomed by my tutor and the 'distance' element dissolved. I was given timely and relevant support to coax me through each assignment where I quickly gained independence, confidence and developed my academic abilities from the advice. Both my biology and psychology tutors proved the competency of DistanceLearningCentre.com with their excellent calibre of tutoring and mentoring.

Distance learning allows you to fit studying around work and family and also to learn at your own pace, which really helped. I would advocate DistanceLearningCentre.com to anyone considering further education.

At school I was an average student so thought my attempt to achieve the 40 distinctions required to gain a place on the Speech and Language BSc whilst commencing a new job and juggling family commitments was just a dream. I nearly never started but knew I would regret not trying. With the mantra of 'take each day and do your best' I began my learning journey.

I am still pinching myself that I have now completed the course with the required grades and have an offer from my preferred university. I couldn't have done it without the support of my family, friends and the amazing tutors. I've learnt you are never too old to follow your dreams and, with hard work and a positive attitude, you can make the impossible happen. Don't let anyone, above all yourself, say you can't do it! The advice I received during my UCAS submission was excellent - Claire Flannery

Midwifery has been a dream of mine since my first daughter was born 10 years ago. However, soon after her birth I became a single parent and circumstances were not right to make the change from my career in product management.

Fast forward 8 years and I was in a new relationship and expecting my second daughter. This reignited my interest in midwifery and my partner was completely behind me, so when my second daughter was just 6 weeks old I started my Access to HE Diploma.

From the outset I found the tutor support and learning materials were excellent and I actually enjoyed studying whilst my baby slept! Things were going very smoothly until 3 months into my studies when I suddenly became ill. My studies took a hit as I recovered, but my tutor was very supportive and allowed me to slow down my submissions. Once I recovered I had a matter of weeks until I returned to work from my maternity leave and again found my tutors to be very understanding whilst I juggled going back to work with family life and studying! I picked up the speed with my submissions and even finding out we were expecting baby number 3 didn't hold me back from completing my studies and attending my midwifery interviews.

The advice I received during my UCAS submission was excellent and I am thrilled that I received 2 offers to study midwifery on my first attempt. I already know I have the grades to get into at least one of the Universities and can't wait to start my course in 2017! Thank you to all at DistanceLearningCentre.com (Jun 2017)
