A solid, reliable and efficient way of learning whilst working full time - Ann-Marie Glover

My previous career was as a Cabin Manager, which I did for 28 years. I have always had an interest in medicine and was trained in aviation medicine as part of my flying career. I decided that I was ready for a career change and wanted to retrain as a Paramedic, so I took the plunge and joined the ambulance service at entry level as an ECSW. As my previous qualifications were not sufficient for entry into university I signed up with DistanceLearningCentre.com to do mathematics GCSE and an Access to HE Diploma Allied Health Professions.

DistanceLearningCentre.com was recommended to me, by my employer, as a solid, reliable and efficient way of learning whilst working full time. Due to time restrictions for my university application I had to complete both courses in 6 months instead of the recommended 9-12 months. My tutors understood my schedule and were behind me 100%. I cannot emphasise enough how much their tuition and support helped me through it. It was tough but so rewarding as I achieved an A* in my GCSE and I achieved 36 distinctions and 9 merits on my Access Diploma.

I'm now ready to apply for university and DistanceLearningCentre.com have prepared me for all that is to come. I fully recommend them. (Jan 2017)

When I made a decision to study a nursing degree at university, I had to meet the entry requirements for the qualifications as well as possess certain skills and qualities. After making enquiries, my friends recommended me to study through DistanceLearningCentre.com and when I visited their website, the positive reviews captured my attention. I made a call to them and spoke to one of the team members who answered and explained further to my questions. Without any hesitation, I enrolled and began the journey that had to be completed.

The most important thing that helped me through the course was to be objective and set my goals, aiming high. Working and managing my daily life as well as function as parent of a family, was really challenging, nonetheless, I remained determined to achieve my goals.

During my diploma, the course material was excellent as it helped me easily understand the topics. I had the most positive experience due to the tutors, who helped, supported and guided me via email and phone calls. Some even went that extra mile in attending to my queries, with an outstanding approach that included positive reassurance, understanding, respect, kindness and non-judgemental attitudes. Such attitudes kept me going.

It is fantastic and amazing to now realise that I have actually completed my journey and completed the Access to HE diploma impacted with knowledge. In March, 2017, I started my nursing degree course at the chosen university. The skills I obtained are truly transferrable, extremely rewarding and empowering. (Jan 2017)

I knew I wanted to become a midwife but I had no qualifications and have three young children. I wasn't sure on where I would even begin. I was told about DistanceLearningCentre.com by a friend and was recommended the Access to HE Allied Health Professions Diploma. This was the best thing I could have ever done.

At first it was challenging, as I had been out of education for so long, but I soon became comfortable within the course and with the help and support of both my amazing tutors I have now completed the course with the recommended grades needed for university. From this I have been offered a place at my chosen university. I never thought I could do this and am so pleased with what I have achieved. Thank you DistanceLearningCentre.com (Jan 2017)

Having three children and working shifts made it impossible to study at my local college. DistanceLearningCentre.com offered me the opportunity to study around my busy life, and I was able to complete the Access to HE Nursing Diploma at my own pace. The tutors were all really encouraging and supportive throughout, and they are really passionate about the subjects they teach; they really want you to well! After completing this course, I have secured a place at my chosen university to study adult nursing.

The Access course has given me the confidence and skills I needed in order to study at degree level. I feel well prepared for the next steps towards my goal of becoming a nurse. Thank you to all at DistanceLearningCentre.com for making it possible! (Jan 2017)

I was worried at first about starting the Access to Higher Education course with DistanceLearningCentre.com, but right away my tutors put me at ease and were very lovely and honest with me. I feel that they helped and encouraged me in all the right ways in order for me to learn everything in a way that would stick with me, therefore aiding me once I started university. I couldn't have got my place at university without the tutors support.

I set myself a target to complete the course in 12 months and managed to do it in far less, which was a huge achievement as I hadn't believed it to be possible. I have come further than I had imagined with DistanceLearningCentre.com and I am now looking forward to starting university with all 45 credits at distinction. (Jan 2017)
