The assignments and resources were relevant, clear and insightful - Lukah Webb
Fab5 Award Nominee
Before studying with DistanceLearningCentre.com, I was working in the education sector and fighting for a place at University to study Midwifery. The competition for places to study Midwifery was, and still is, incredible and my academic background proved to be inferior to other prospective students. After much procrastination, I decided I would undertake an Access to Higher Education Diploma. DistanceLearningCentre.com came up time and time again on forums, social media and on search engines and I soon enrolled on the Nursing and Midwifery pathway.
Knowing the academic requirements for my chosen Universities, I was determined to achieve them with support from the tutors, however, at the end of the course I greatly exceeded them! It took determination and commitment but it's a great relief to say I have now completed my studies and have been offered a place to study Midwifery this September 2015.
The assignments and resources were relevant, clear and insightful and the staff were attentive, supportive and instrumental to my success. It is with a happy heart that I say thank you, DistanceLearningCentre.com, for accessible and flexible learning for all! (Jun 15)
Go for it, as this is possibly the best thing I have ever done - Emma Chillari
Before starting my course with DistanceLearningCentre.com I worked for an energy company as a Customer Service Advisor. Although this is a fast paced job I have always wanted to be a Diagnostic Radiographer to help others.
Following shoulder surgery the opportunity presented itself to allow me to study the Access to Health Professions (Science) course. This is an incredibly useful course as it provides a basis for the subjects I will be studying on my university course.
Completing the course has given me the confidence I needed to rally from my health concerns and secure a place at the highly competitive course at Birmingham City University and I look forward to starting in September. If you are thinking about a DistanceLearningCentre.com course, go for it, as this is possibly the best thing I have ever done. (Jun 15)
I knew the uniform hours set by (traditional) colleges wouldn't be great and I wouldn't be able to fully commit - Jo-Anne Curran
Fab5 Award Nominee
Once I decided that I wanted to have a career in diagnostic radiography I knew that it would require improving myself academically to meet the entry requirements set by the university.
I currently work awkward shifts within the NHS and have two small children one of which went at school when I embarked upon my access course. For these reasons I knew the uniform hours set by colleges wouldn't be great and I wouldn't be able to fully commit.
With a bit of research I came across DistanceLearningCentre.com and it ticked all boxes. I could meet the entry requirements while being a mother and working sometimes difficult shifts. I enrolled straight away and off I went. The modules were challenging and I realised soon on that it would take a large amount if dedication.
I carried on and while it was difficult at times I found it extremely enjoyable. The materials supplied, the support from the tutors and copius amounts of coffee for my 'all nighters' carried me through. I completed my access course (health professions) and was offered a place at university to study diagnostic radiography, starting September 2015.
I can recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com wholeheartedly for those looking to improve themselves with some kind of flexibility being required. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be in the strong position that I am in now. (Jun 15)
The tutors have been fantastic ... they really guide and support you all the way - Katie Woollery
After pursuing a career in finance, getting married and having my daughter, my aspirations have changed and I want to pursue my vocation to be a midwife.
Needing to continue working full time and look after my family, I was so grateful and excited to find DistanceLearningCentre.com as I thought my desire to change career just wasn't going to work, but they have given me the opportunity to study alongside my other commitments in order to obtain the qualification I needed to apply for university.

When I completed my first module, I knew that it was the right course for me - Leah Buswell
Fab5 Award Nominee
My experience with DistanceLearningCentre.com has been so rewarding. After not getting the desired grades when I finished college, I didn't think I would ever be able to fulfil my dream of becoming a midwife. After DistanceLearningCentre.com was recommended to me by a friend and when I completed my first module, I knew that it was the right course for me.
I had the ability to continue working as a Maternity Care assistant, and completed my studies on my days off. DistanceLearningCentre.com and my amazing tutors have helped me secure my place at UWE - Bristol University and I can't wait to start in January 2016! (Jun 15)
