I found DistanceLearningCentre.com in Spring 2010 while searching the internet for a course that would strengthen my application for 2011 Midwifery courses.I was delighted to be able to do a course that didn't mean I couldn't keep up the day job and where I wouldn't have to struggle to get childcare. It was great to be able to literally pick it up and put it down as it suited me.

I managed to complete the course within 6 months despite being a mum of 4 young children, working several paid and voluntary jobs and managing the build on our new home; so it is definately do-able, and it helps you to focus when you are juggling study with family life. Something essential if I am to make a sucess of university.

I was so lucky to have a brilliant course tutor who was fab at responding to emails and calling me often. I have a degree in a completely unrelated field, so the biology and psychology were totally new areas for me to explore but I found that I really enjoyed them and these have given me a really good understanding which I can expand upon when I start uni. My tutor helped if there were any areas I struggled with!

After being stuck in administration roles and being made redundant repeatedly, I started studying the course in 2010 as I wanted to go to University and study for my Occupational Therapy BSc (Hons). I'd ruled out the traditional college route as I couldn't afford to give up my full time job.

I found studying the Access to Nursing and Health diploma very easy to fit around my job as with input from my tutor, I could set my own deadlines and even when I found out I was pregnant a few months into the course and that I was being made redundant (again), I managed to finish the course and did much better than I thought I would!

The tutor support has been invaluble, especially when I found it difficult to get my head in the game. The forum has also been a gold mine of support and hints from the other students. I definitely could not have maintained the motivation to finish the course without these support mechanisms.

I now feel confident about studying at degree level and have been accepted to start studying at Coventry University in Sept 2011. I feel prepared for University life and can't wait to get stuck in! Thanks to everyone at DistanceLearningCentre.com (especially my tutor) for the support and encouragement!

I started the DistanceLearningCentre.com course in January 2009 when I went on Maternity leave from work. The DistanceLearningCentre.com course was perfect for me as there were no local colleges which offered the access course and, with being heavily pregnant, I didn't fancy going to college so studying from home was perfect!

I have throughly enjoyed the course and I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to studying so I loved getting stuck into biology, and felt proud of the grades I achieved which I never thought I would be able to. I expected to scrape passes on this course, but I didn't, I excelled myself throughout! I found the tutors excellent. One in particular has been a rock throughout the course and at times even felt like a friend. DistanceLearningCentre.com do well to support you as much as they can and I am proud to be a part of this for the future with maintaining the student forum. I would reccomend this course to friends as it is easy to fit around YOUR life!

I decided to study with DistanceLearningCentre.com as I wanted to be able to go to university for undergraduate study but had never completed the traditional A Levels needed to get in. I was pleased to discover that I could study an Access Diploma from home while working part-time and that it would only take a year to complete. I enjoyed the modules and it was great to be able to be self-motivated and disciplined to get the study done on my own. I couldn't have done it without the materials and tutor support provided by DistanceLearningCentre.com. Now I've finished, I am able to finally fulfill my dream to go to university at last and follow my passion into studying Philosophy.
