I decided to get back into studying after having my two children, and being at home gave me the opportunity to study with DistanceLearningCentre.com. Studying from home fitted in with my life style as it saved me having to go to college and trying to find child care. I loved every minute of it and had a fantastic tutor that helped me throughout. The other advantage is that you can study at your own pace, and is suitable for people who do go to work and cannot attend college.

The modules were set out really well which made it easier to understand. I did the Access to Midwifery which can also allow me to apply to do nursing or radiography. I am yet to decide which pathway to take and I am in the process of applying to hospitals for work experience to help me decide.

I have gained so much confidence since completing the DistanceLearningCentre.com course as it has given me a qualification that I never thought I would have. I recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com to anybody who is thinking of furthering their education.

I decided to study with DistanceLearningCentre.com as I wanted to be able to go to university for undergraduate study but had never completed the traditional A Levels needed to get in. I was pleased to discover that I could study an Access Diploma from home while working part-time and that it would only take a year to complete. I enjoyed the modules and it was great to be able to be self-motivated and disciplined to get the study done on my own. I couldn't have done it without the materials and tutor support provided by DistanceLearningCentre.com. Now I've finished, I am able to finally fulfill my dream to go to university at last and follow my passion into studying Philosophy.

I started the DistanceLearningCentre.com course in January 2009 when I went on Maternity leave from work. The DistanceLearningCentre.com course was perfect for me as there were no local colleges which offered the access course and, with being heavily pregnant, I didn't fancy going to college so studying from home was perfect!

I have throughly enjoyed the course and I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to studying so I loved getting stuck into biology, and felt proud of the grades I achieved which I never thought I would be able to. I expected to scrape passes on this course, but I didn't, I excelled myself throughout! I found the tutors excellent. One in particular has been a rock throughout the course and at times even felt like a friend. DistanceLearningCentre.com do well to support you as much as they can and I am proud to be a part of this for the future with maintaining the student forum. I would reccomend this course to friends as it is easy to fit around YOUR life!

My plans to become a midwife were stopped short 10 years ago when a death in the family meant that I became involved in, and eventually had to manage the family business full time. I decided to make steps towards my dream two years ago when I discovered that I could study from home at my own pace with DistanceLearningCentre.com in order to bring my qualifications back up to date.

Although I found the course very tough at times and a lot of self motivation was needed, I do believe that this will stand me in good stead when I start my degree. As an adult learner, you have to learn to take the responsibility to keep on top of your studies and learn that no one else is going to do the work for you. Independent/distance learning is difficult and can be very lonely, but with the support of your tutors and your peers it is definately worth every second in the end.

My tutor was very supportive and knew when I needed a push in the right direction and when I needed to be left to it. I have also made some good friends through DistanceLearningCentre.com, a couple of us that started at the same time have helped each other through the difficult times, have offered support to each other and will remain friends as we progress through our careers and our lives.

Thanks to DistanceLearningCentre.com offering me a chance to study from home at my own pace. I achieved the qualifications needed to apply to university and I will be starting my Midwifery degree at Worcester University in February 2012.
