Before joining the DistanceLearningCentre.com, I thought I wouldn’t be able to go to university, let alone my dream university! - Liberty Smith
Before joining the DistanceLearningCentre.com, I thought I wouldn’t be able to go to university, let alone my dream university! I had received A level results I wasn’t satisfied with and I was determined to study nursing. I have learned so much with the learning materials and my tutors have been so helpful and supportive. I am happy to say I will be going to Kings College London in September to study Adult Nursing BSc.
I was able to study at my own pace and at times that were convenient for me - Rebecca Hill
When I was pregnant with my daughter I realised I wanted a change in career to better not only myself but to strive towards creating a more stable environment for the child I was bringing into the world. When I realised that I wanted to become a Social Worker I did a few courses including Health and Social Level 3, Understanding Children and Young Person’s Mental Health Level 2 and even got my Functional Skills Level 2 in Mathematics, but when I contacted universities about applying I was told these qualifications were not enough to get in. Though this was disheartening I kept going! I found DistanceLearningCentre.com and I have not looked back since. Whilst working full time and looking after my daughter I was able to study at my own pace and at times that were convenient for me. I was still able to work efficiently and continue to have a happy home life and spend valuable time with my daughter as I could whip my laptop out whenever I had free time like when I was off work and my daughter was at school and of an evening when everything was quiet.
DistanceLearningCentre.com has been easy to navigate and when I did have any queries on where to find information or anything else I needed I was pointed in the right direction by my tutors who were always happy to help. The tutors were always great and no matter how many questions I asked they did not make me feel like an annoyance, this made me feel extremely comfortable and it relieved a lot of the anxiety I felt when I first came to start my studies. My tutor also sent out weekly reminders on applying to UCAS which made me get myself into gear, she was very helpful when doing my application as I was initially worried as I had not had to do something like this before. I was able to learn a lot of new skills throughout my studies such as essay writing, referencing and time management with having to meet deadlines.
Overall, it took me 1 year, 1 week and 1 day to complete my studies! I was able to do this in time for March moderation and have enough UCAS points to get me into my desired University. I am looking forward to going to University in September and getting my Social Work Degree, I would not have been able to do this without DistanceLearningCentre.com and the amazing tutors, I am so grateful for being able to complete my course through them and all the support and help I have had throughout my studies.

If you are looking to do an Access course do it with DistanceLearningCentre.com - Kai Hill
DistanceLearningCentre.com was an amazing opportunity for me, I did my first year of A levels and didn’t enjoy it or even know what I wanted to do. I ended up going in to work and completing an Access to HE Diploma in Law whilst working and now I’m off to university in September 2024. I couldn’t have done it without the help of excellent tutors, staff and resources materials provided by DistanceLearningCentre.com. If you are looking to do an Access course do it with DistanceLearningCentre.com. I have no regrets at all, best decision so far in my life.
Tutor support made my DistanceLearningCentre.com journey easier - Christine Coleman
I am so proud to have worked really hard to achieve my Access to Higher Education Diploma in Health & Social Care and have thoroughly enjoyed the course.
Embarking on this journey as part of my CPD at the age of 58 years with a full time job, family life and caring for my elderly dad and also experiencing bereavement has been quite challenging but very rewarding. The course has enabled me to gain a wealth of knowledge through research for my role as Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer for Health and Social Care NVQs.
Not having done any intense study for a while was daunting especially the research part, but having a supportive family and a good tutor who encouraged and guided me right from the start I was able to achieve my qualification. I am much more analytical now and can relate better to health and social care issues that we encounter in our everyday life through the topics covered and achieved.
The structured platforms, ILPs and Self-Assessments to prepare you, and course materials including the Podcasts and importantly Tutor support made my DistanceLearningCentre.com journey easier. I found that although living on a very small island with IT challenges and sometimes limited resources my Tutor was very supportive in helping me to overcome this. I would like to thank and strongly recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com as the platform for good post-school learners learning, inspired to learn more with the desire to achieve once you get started.
