I started my access course in December 2019 applying for university in September 2020. Over my first few weeks my tutors were very supportive by helping me to adapt to the online learning system as I had never done anything like this before. During my access course I stumbled across many difficulties but through perseverance and determination I was able to complete all my units to the best of my ability.
During my course we encountered a global pandemic COVID-19. This brought many challenges however my sheer determination and support from tutors meant that I was still able to submit my units to the best of my ability. I proved to myself that hard-work and dedication opens doors that I never thought would be possible before and I now have more confidence in myself. When I first started my course, it was a massive step for me as I had left education over 5 years ago and in all honesty, had not picked up a book since then.
