"Studying gave me the confidence I lacked in myself and motivated me to aim for, and do, better."
I have already recommended two of my friends who are now enrolled - Nell Courcha
Distance learning centre, where do I start?
leading me to my future, and then we had to part
A****, K**** and H**** were my helping hand
guiding me along the way, and showing me where to land
Despite the pandemic, I managed to power through
from biology to psychology and social issues too
more SAQ’s than I would like to think
and a few TAQ’s that pushed me to the brink
I feel so very thankful and proud of what I have done
learning and facing challenges and an awful lot of fun
and at the end of it all, I was able to change my life
live my dreams and start as a student midwife
When I first started my course, it was a massive step for me as I had left education over 5 years ago and in all honesty, had not picked up a book since then. I felt that I was supported massively by my tutors – from helping me understand the work, to completing it to its best possible standard. The tutors made sure they knew the grades I needed and pushed me in the right direction to gaining these.
I had to complete my studies during the coronavirus pandemic. At first this course seemed extremely daunting, and even on a personal level my tutor at the time kept reassuring me that we would get it done and all would be as it needed too as if the pandemic had not hit. I genuinely could not recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com enough. In fact, I have already recommended two of my friends who are now currently enrolled and on their own journeys.
The flexibility was perfect for me. I was able to learn at my own pace, fitting it around my job and my young daughter, even if that sometimes meant late nights and lots of coffee with a little girl assisting with the typing of the assessments!
I am now 5 weeks in to my first year of University studying midwifery and feel like I am at an advantage with the amount I learnt on my access course that actually ties in with what I am currently studying. Thank you, DistanceLearningCentre.com. (Jul 2020)
I chose DistanceLearningCentre.com due to it allowing me to juggle studying alongside working and being a mum - Yvonne Evans
As a single mum and being out of education for 20 years, I chose DistanceLearningCentre.com for my access course due to it allowing me to be able to juggle studying alongside working and being a mum.
I encountered some problems in my personal life which set me back behind the schedule of completing in time for moderation It really affected my concentration and I almost quit. When the lockdown happened, I had even less time to complete the work. My tutor was very supportive and helped me to break down bit by bit rather than looking at the full scary picture. To begin with I was convinced each assignment would fail and not be good enough, my confidence increased when I kept receiving the positive feedback and grades. I can't thank my tutor enough; she is a credit to DistanceLearningCentre.com and she has enabled me to pursue my dream career of being a teacher. I smashed the entry requirements and I am now a full-time student at Sheffield Hallam University. If I can do it after a horrific year anyone can, if they put their mind to it! (Jul 2020)
DistanceLearningCentre.com has put me back onto a path of excellence - Hafsa Mohamed Ali
During my years in further education, I switched between many colleges. I never really understood why I found it so difficult to meet deadlines and complete work. As I experienced many emotional and psychological stresses, it was almost destiny that I stumbled across DistanceLearningCentre.com.
I had just quit school and before feeling like all hope was lost, DistanceLearningCentre.com picked me right back up. I was intrigued and extremely motivated as I saw the many courses I could study and a chance of getting into university. I enquired some more and did my research and before I knew it, I was applying to study nursing and midwifery. It was great! I managed to secure a part time job and while it was stressful at first, I managed to balance both work and the course comfortably.
Courageously, I gave myself a 6-month deadline to get into university for September 2020. Now you may think that was bold, but for me, it was a goal worth fighting for.
With the help of my tutors and guidance from the website tools, I have received 4 offers from all my chosen universities and I’m going on to study Child Nursing at my first-choice university! I can’t thank this institution enough for opening my eyes to a new way of learning. DistanceLearningCentre.com has put me back onto a path of excellence and allowing me to not only grow as a person, but acquire skills and knowledge I shall carry for the rest of my life.
Thank you so much DistanceLearningCentre.com, and if anyone reading this is looking for a reason to start a course, then look no further. I guarantee this will be the best decision of your life. (Jul 2020)
My tutors were very supportive by helping me to adapt to the online learning system - Bethany Mitchell
I started my access course in December 2019 applying for university in September 2020. Over my first few weeks my tutors were very supportive by helping me to adapt to the online learning system as I had never done anything like this before. During my access course I stumbled across many difficulties but through perseverance and determination I was able to complete all my units to the best of my ability.
During my course we encountered a global pandemic COVID-19. This brought many challenges however my sheer determination and support from tutors meant that I was still able to submit my units to the best of my ability. I proved to myself that hard-work and dedication opens doors that I never thought would be possible before and I now have more confidence in myself. I would like to take this time to thank my tutors and I would highly recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com to anyone thinking about doing this course! (Jul 2020)
Studying gave me the confidence I lacked in myself and motivated me to aim for, and do, better - Alisha Kaur
I studied with DistanceLearningCentre.com as an alternative way into university. I did the Access to Higher Education Diploma (Allied Health professions) in Paramedicine. Before starting my course, I was stressing out trying to find a way to get into university or the medical field without any previous education or experience in that particular area. I was so glad after doing so much searching for cheap online courses I found DistanceLearningCentre.com. At first, I wasn’t sure, so I called them and they were extremely helpful and gave me so much advice.
I always wanted to study nursing at university but I knew I needed to do a course before I could apply. I chose to do Paramedicine and was amazed with the support from all the tutors I had. I could study at my own pace and no matter what I could always go back to my tutors for help and support. I couldn’t have done this all without the help of my two excellent supportive tutors.
Studying at DistanceLearningCentre.com gave me the confidence I lacked in myself and motivated me to aim for, and do, better. I was so glad that doing the paramedicine course didn’t just limit me to applying for paramedic science courses, as I was able to apply for a nursing course with the paramedicine diploma without any trouble. I couldn’t do it alone and I am pleased that I could complete these first steps in my nursing career with the help of DistanceLearningCentre.com. Thank you so much, and thanks to my brilliant tutors for helping me throughout this whole course. (Jul 2020)
