A very positive experience that has reignited my enthusiasm for learning - Sam Gregory

Upon deciding that I wanted the option of leaving the military and entering higher education, I began researching distance learning courses. DistanceLearningCentre.com was the option that kept coming up with the best reviews and stood out as having no competition when it came to student satisfaction.

The prospect of re-entering education, after some 6 years away from it, was a daunting one. I doubted my ability to take on new information and was uncertain if I could self-teach these somewhat unfamiliar subjects. I was immediately put at ease by the welcome from my tutor and the nature of the first assessments, designed to break you in gently and familiarise you with the learning environment.

Going on to achieve all distinctions in both Psychology and Biology has made me very proud of myself and has given me confidence in my academic ability. The distance learning aspect has given me a new appreciation of time management and how important it is to maintain the self-motivation around my studies.

All in all, this has been a very positive experience that has reignited my enthusiasm for learning. I would urge anybody that is thinking of a career change to have a think about doing a DistanceLearningCentre.com course because, as much as you will learn about the subjects you'll study; you learn almost double about yourself and your own ability. I am forever grateful for giving me the opportunity to fulfil my dream - Tamsin Wade

Fab5 Award Nominee

After falling pregnant with my son at the age of 16, my midwifery dream took a massive step back as I came to the realisation I was no longer a 'normal' teenager and completing my qualifications and going to University was going to be a lot more difficult. Fortunately I had a very supportive family who enabled me to complete my two years at sixth form however I had just missed out on the entry requirements I needed to go on to University.

I took this opportunity to gain work experience at my local hospital as a Health Care Assistant and a Ward Clerk on a haematology ward. After two years working in these roles I left on maternity leave to have my daughter but wanted nothing more than to find a way to get back on course for my midwifery dream.

DistanceLearningCentre.com was suggested to me on an online forum when I asked about access courses; they stood out to me immediately and after a phone call to them, their kindness, reassurance and support made me know that studying with them would be the right option for me.

I started my Access to Nursing and Midwifery Diploma with a newborn and a 5 year old and was told by a lot of people, around me, that I may have been taking too much on. The combination of juggling assignments and learning, between nap times, and extremely supportive tutors, who helped me immensely along the way I believe have helped me receive two offers to study Midwifery at University. I accepted an offer to study at the University of Suffolk in February 2018.

Both my tutors gave me such support throughout my 8 months completing my Access Diploma. They helped me prepare for University interviews and exams, guided me on assignments as well as reassured me that I could do it, meet my deadlines and get to where I wanted to be in life. I am forever grateful for giving me the opportunity to fulfil my dream to become a midwife and I am extremely excited to start University next year. (Jun 2017)

Starting the Access to HE Diploma was the best decision I ever made - Kieran Gelder

I left sixth form in 2015 not achieving any high grades so I took up IT at a local college. After 6 months on the course I dropped out and went to work full time in a job that I ended up not happy in. I then chose to follow a construction route as there seemed endless opportunities for jobs.

DistanceLearningCentre.com was recommended by Sheffield Hallam University and starting the Access to HE Diploma (Construction) was the best decision I ever made. I had the opportunity to learn Law, Construction and Business from a very knowledgeable tutor.

You really have to dig deep on a distance learning course and find that willpower to say no to going out with friends and committing yourself to other activities. I now plan on going to study Construction Project Management at Sheffield Hallam University where I have received a conditional offer starting in September 2017.

I recommend to anyone wanting to get into Construction to study this Diploma as it gives you all the knowledge you need to know about construction, law and business. It also helps prepare you for your time at University which is a big help when you have been out of education for a couple of years.

In three words I would say DistanceLearningCentre.com is Outstanding, Amazing and Perfect for anyone. (Jun 2017)

I was looking for a way to study while gaining work experience and found DistanceLearningCentre.com. I have thoroughly enjoyed my course and it has given me a new passion for learning.

Before I started I had little confidence in my ability to succeed but now I am confident that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. Although I fell behind with assignments a couple of times, my tutors supported and encouraged me to get back on track. If I was struggling with anything my tutor was happy to help and if I needed more time to complete an assignment due to work commitments, my tutor would grant me an extension which was very helpful.

I will be studying Biomedical Science at Lancaster University this year and I am excited and optimistic about my future. I can't thank DistanceLearningCentre.com enough for everything they have done, it has changed my life and I am grateful to my tutors for helping me reach my potential.

I would definitely recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com to those who would like to work, look after a family or travel while studying. It was challenging at times but more than worth it in the end. (Jun 17)
