It is well structured and you are given realistic deadlines for each module - Georgia Lynton

I always knew I wanted to be a social worker, however not having the qualifications put a hold on my dream career. After some long research DistanceLearningCentre.com ticked all of the boxes! I enrolled on the Access to Higher Education Social Work Course and it was the best decision I ever could have made.

My tutor was incredibly supportive and I was able to work at a pace that worked for me. During the course the level of support our tutors give us is so beneficial, and I am so grateful for the wonderful tutor I had and the invaluable support provided.

For a while it was hard to know whether or not I would finish in time for moderation. The course itself requires time, dedication and commitment. It is well structured and you are given realistic deadlines for each module. However, it does take a lot of self motivation and you do have to make a timeline with what needs to be achieved by when to be ready in time for moderation.

Now, less than a year later, I have been accepted into the University of Southampton and hope to start this September. This wouldn't have been possible had I not studied with DistanceLearningCentre.com and I would recommend them to everyone! (Jun 16)

If only my school teachers could see me now and the quality of work - Natasha Waite

My school days were not particularly successful despite my teachers frequently telling me I had the ability but not the motivation and the thought of returning to education after such a long gap was both daunting and exciting.

I decided to follow a dream of becoming an Occupational Therapist after working closely with them for the past four years and decided to enrol on the DistanceLearningCentre.com Access Course for Allied Health Professions which has given me the flexibility to study alongside working full time, retaking my GCSE Maths, moving house, a neck injury and family life.

My tutors have been instrumental in my success and have kept me realistic and grounded, especially when I was giving myself a hard time over the quality of my work. When I decided to go to University I was worried about how I would find academic studies but they have prepared me well for that and I am very excited about the prospect of starting my course in just a few weeks.

Completing my Access Course through distance learning has demonstrated to my chosen university that I will be able to manage the course, which places an emphasis on self directed study and research.

If only my school teachers could see me now and the quality of work I have submitted during my studies - I am sure they would be very surprised! (Jun 16)

I was impressed with their track record - Tasha Widdowson

I suppose my journey towards an Access to Higher Education Diploma began when I was 14. I became severely unwell, leaving me unable to attend school or even home-study; so I could not achieve any school qualifications. Several years later, when I was well enough to consider studying, I decided that an Access to Higher Education Course would suit me better than A-Levels. I chose DistanceLearningCentre.com as the course provider because I felt that they had a wider course selection than any of their competitors, and I was impressed with their track record.

I have a passion for healthcare and management, I therefore chose the Access to Health and Social Care Professions course, hoping this would open up opportunities for my future. Having had a previous bad experience from a different home-studying company I contacted DistanceLearningCentre.com's student support hoping for some reassurance that I would not go through the same disappointment again. The following day (August bank holiday!) I received an email from one of the Executive Managers, who offered me the comfort I needed to be able to carry on with confidence.

As the course progressed my academic skills were reawakened and my confidence in my intellectual ability grew. I thoroughly enjoyed studying new subjects and researching topics that I would not have considered interesting before starting the course! I was given advice on how to apply to university, and have since been given an offer to study my chosen degree - something that, for so long, had been a distant dream.

I would like to thank: the Student Services who answered my questions while I was trying to ascertain whether DistanceLearningCentre.com was for me; the Executive Manager who took the time to help me find confidence in the programme; and my wonderful tutor, for steering me down the right path during my assignments and for always being only an email away if I need some help and support.

To anyone who is considering enrolling, I would really encourage you to do so - you won't regret it! This access course has provided me with the opportunity to build my confidence, as well as my academic prowess, and has given me the chance to pursue my dream career. (Jun 16)

I started looking into an Access Course following my decision to leave the Armed Forces. I had to conduct my GSCE maths to the required standard before being able to proceed. After a lot of thought and deliberation I decided on using DistanceLearningCentre.com. Some friends in the military advised me this was a very adaptable course to suit a busy work environment.

WELL... I was not let down. I had a lot of issues in work and social life during the course and the tutors and the company were fantastic, very helpful and informative and coming from not writing an essay in 12 years it was a very easy transition. Even when you change modules to a different tutor the information and communication was fantastic and considering this is a distance learning course I did not feel I missed out by not going to college.

Recommended to anyone who has a busy lifestyle regardless of past learning experience. (Jun 16)

I received emails and calls of encouragement every week and it really got me going - Passion Vanga

It has taken me almost four years to compete my diploma plus GCSE equivalences in English, Maths and Science. I have almost given up a few times and have taken many breaks due to unforeseen reasons. I have suffered four miscarriages and had no will to carry on.

I am so grateful to have tutors who have pushed me when I was giving up and they had faith in me. I took some time off on several occasions but my tutors wouldn't let me give up that easy. I received emails and calls of encouragement every week and it really got me going.

I only had a few weeks left to complete the course when I rejoined after a particular tutor encouraged me not to give up. She really showed me that I can do it, we actually both thought I wasn't going to make it but I HAVE MADE IT.

I have been given that one more step towards my goal of becoming a nurse and DistanceLearningCentre.com has played a major role towards achieving this goal. I can't thank you enough but I can surely say "keep up the good work". The future is now looking brighter and I will be applying to university for September 2017. (Jun 16)
