I used the Individual Learning Plan to keep on track to reach each milestone in the time I needed to reach it in - Emma Day
I just want to start by saying that I am so grateful to DistanceLearningCentre.com for giving me this opportunity and broadening my horizons, allowing and helping me to begin this journey of realising my academic potential.
I had my first child when I was 18, I was hoping to go to university but I put those dreams on hold to ensure I could provide for my son by working full time. I've since had a daughter and again put my dream of going to university on hold but still longed for the chance to be able to achieve what I know I'm capable of. Working full time to support my family has been my only choice for the last 12 years, and I'd looked into going to college on numerous occasions but could never afford to leave work, but then I found DistanceLearningCentre.com ... And the rest they say, is history!
I won't say it was easy, far from it in fact. But the tutors and course materials where so helpful and supportive, they made sure I had all I needed to succeed. I used the ILP to constantly keep on track to reach each milestone in the time I needed to reach it in. I only started in October so I was dubious if I could complete within 8 months in time for June moderation. I actually achieved this in less than 6.
I'm so proud of how far I have come, I've pushed myself so hard I now know that I'm more than prepared for university in September. I applied to study Computing Bsc at Edge Hill and thanks to brilliant guidance from my tutor at the time, my application was accepted straight away!
I still can't quite believe it. So I just want to say this, if you're thinking of starting to study with DistanceLearningCentre.com, don't hesitate, just do it. You won't be sorry, and you will open doors to a better and brighter future for yourself. Thank you! (Jun 16)
My tutor encouraged me to maintain a positive approach. I cannot thank my tutor enough - Lamin Jallow
Fab5 Award Nominee
I couldn't have done it without your brilliant support!!
I hadn't studied for many years, since my GCSE's. But your well-structured learning platform, flexibility and professionalism had made Access to Higher Education Diploma in Social Work a success, and an enjoyable journey. I had a great support and team work with my tutor, who I thought was brilliant.
I was disappointed at times, when I realised that I was behind with my assignments, due to work commitments, I even thought about deferring my admission to University till 2017, but my tutor encouraged me to maintain a positive approach and work harder within the assignments to meet admission criteria. Looking back now I cannot thank my tutor enough.
Without a doubt I will recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com to anyone who find time a challenge, and a barrier to adult learning. The online resources are exceptional; they help you gain control of your assignments.
I had offers from Universities of my choice even before I completed the course. I am now en route to University of Winchester in September 2016, to study a degree course in Social Work. I am enthused about the career pathway that you helped make possible. Once again massive thank you to DistanceLearningCentre.com. (Jun 16)
Given me a new confidence it has also ignited a passion for learning within me - David Lockhart
I knew I wanted to retrain and become a nurse but with so many years out of education and worries about the expense and time it would take me to gain the additional qualifications to gain a University placement I continually hesitated.
After reading about DistanceLearningCentre.com I decided to take the leap and I couldn't be happier. I enrolled on the HE Access to Nursing Diploma and studied across a year and a half.
Completing the course was one of the most difficult things I have ever done, balancing studies, family and work was very hard but my appointed tutors proved invaluable. They were always on hand to provide support and guidance and were very understanding of the difficulties that people face while completing additional learning. The modules and assessments were detailed and informative and presented in a way that was clear and concise.
Not only has my achievements with DistanceLearningCentre.com given me a new confidence it has also ignited a passion for learning within me and I am now moving into the next stage of my life with excitement and enthusiasm. (Jun 16)

I really did enjoy the course from the beginning to the very last day. All assessments were very interesting and the course materials very helpful. I enjoyed the Biology and Psychology the most.
I would recommend the course to any one who works full time as its flexibility allows you to achieve your goals. I would like to thank my tutors for their help and support.
Thanks to the Access Course, Biomedical Science, I have now received a place at my chosen University and will be studying Human Bio-science, starting this September. (Jun 16)
