For 10 years I worked in the insurance industry but was unhappy in my job role, knowing that I would much rather be doing something more exciting and challenging than sitting in an office all day. For a long time I had wanted to study to become a physiotherapist, but hadn't achieved the right A-Levels to gain a place at University. I then heard about DistanceLearningCentre.com and their bespoke 'Access to Physiotherapy' course. With nothing to lose, I signed up in August 2014 and was soon working my way through the Level 3 modules which would put me on the right path.
It was difficult at first to balance the study time with my busy work and social life, but I soon got used to the routine and just 9 months later I had finished the course, having gained distinction grades in all 15 modules! I've since been accepted into University and begin my 3 year Physiotherapy degree this September.

I am so glad that I decided to study with DistanceLearningCentre.com. Their payment schedule was great and meant I could carry on working in the NHS whilst studying. I decided to do an access to nursing course to prepare me for future study at degree level. The course was well structured and allowed me to choose certain units which I was interested in.
All of my tutors were extremely helpful and easy to contact. They supported me when needed by email or phone and gave me a good boost when I needed it. I ensured that I stayed in contact with them on a weekly basis, which also ensured that I studied on a weekly basis. The units provided relevant background knowledge and suggested websites for further research. The individual TAQ's were varied in format consisting of; short essays, tables, graphs, fact sheets and power point presentations. Each TAQ varied in length and I found myself really getting into each subject, enjoying researching and expanding my knowledge base.
I now feel so much more confident about attending university in September 2015. It has also given me a boost in my personal life. I feel very proud of what I have managed to achieve and am surprised at how much I enjoyed it, I didn't want the course to finish! I feel a bit lost now but it has made me sure that studying at university is the right next step in my career!
