The course was significantly less expensive than full time courses. The monthly payment option made it affordable - Alli Weekes

Having made the decision at the age of 35 to retrain as a midwife, I began researching the ways in which I could achieve the entry requirements for my preferred university. I initially looked at completing a full time Access course with my local college, but soon discovered that this would be difficult in terms of child care for my three children and very expensive. A friend, who had recently completed the DistanceLearningCentre.com Access to Midwifery, recommended them to me; I visited the web site and soon realised that distance learning was going to offer me the most flexible way to study. Learning through DistanceLearningCentre.com allowed me to manage my education around my personal commitments and the voluntary work I was undertaking in order to enhance my university application. The course was also significantly less expensive than full time courses and the monthly payment option made it affordable.
Having been out of the education system for some time it was a challenge to re-engage, but I found the course structured in such a way that it was a relatively gentle process. The fact that it began with the more personal modules meant that by the time the difficult biology and psychology modules came around, I had got my mind back into studying and was able to confront them having had some practice. This was really important as these were the modules I had to pass with distinctions to gain entry to the midwifery degree course.
My tutors have been fantastic, always available quickly at the end of an email with help and support. Significantly for myself, they were very understanding and caring when I experienced two close bereavements towards the end of my studies and had to delay assignments with no notice. When I was able to continue, they helped to ease me back into things and restructured my learning plan for me, making sure I could still finish the course before moderation, preventing the need for me to defer my university start date. I am very grateful for their kindness and professionalism through this period.
Having completed my Access course with a distinction for every module and secured a place at my preferred university, I am looking forward to the next challenge of completing my midwifery degree. I would recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com to anyone; a distance learning course takes commitment and hard work but with the support of the tutors, it is very achievable. (Jun 15)
Enrolment was straightforward and everyone from tech support to finance was friendly and helpful - Karen Meaney
As an accountant, being made redundant twice in a short space of time, I decided that if I was going to make the career jump to healthcare, now was the time to do it. I ran into all sorts of obstacles: my gcse's were too old, my foundation degree was from a professional body and didn't count ? so if I was going to do it I would have to start from scratch.
I couldn't justify giving up work in order to go to college two days a week to complete a HE diploma that I needed. Happily I found DistanceLearningCentre.com on the internet and everything began to drop into place. Enrolment was straightforward and everyone from tech support to finance was friendly and helpful. The tutors were amazing and managed to motivate me throughout even when the going got tough.
I have just completed the course and now have a place at university to study paramedic science starting this September. This would never have become a reality without DistanceLearningCentre.com. Thank You! (Jun 15)
(I) did not think it would ever be possible as I did not achieve the required grades at A level - Harriet Ellis

I have always wanted to follow a career in biological research, but did not think it would ever be possible as I did not achieve the required grades at A level. After working in customer service for over 8 years, I could not see how going back in to full time education would ever be possible. After researching different options online, I made the decision to enrol with DistanceLearningCentre.com in October 2014.
The course was extremely flexible and allowed me to study in my spare time, whilst keeping my full time job. My enrolment date meant that I only had 8 months in which to complete the course in time for moderation, however this was possible with the amazing support and patience of all of my tutors.
Thanks to DistanceLearningCentre.com I am now one step closer to achieving my goals, as I have been offered a place at Bath University to study Biology and am looking forward to starting in September. I would highly recommend completing a course with DistanceLearningCentre.com, as they have helped me accomplish something I did not think was possible. (Jun 15)
I was even able to take a break and pause my course fees while I volunteered in Kenya for 6 weeks - Emily Brighton
I had wanted to be a midwife for a really long time, but never thought it could be possible because of my poor A Level grades and lack of science knowledge.
I decided to go for it and give DistanceLearningCentre.com a try while I worked abroad and travelled to gain experience. I found it so easy to fit around my schedule and loved that I could complete my work as and when I could with as much, or as little, guidance as I needed. I was even able to take a break and pause my course fees while I volunteered in Kenya for 6 weeks, which helped massively!
I am now waiting to start my Midwifery course at DMU in September and DistanceLearningCentre.com made it all possible! I could not be happier! :) (Jun 15)
Improved my self confidence and made me realise just how much I can achieve - Ashley Barnes
Fab5 Award Nominee
My experience with the DistanceLearningCentre.com has not only allowed me to gain a place on the extremely competitive Child Nursing Degree at Cardiff University, but has improved my self confidence and made me realise just how much I can achieve when I put my mind to something.
The support I received from my tutors was beyond my expectations and I will always be grateful for the push they gave me to accomplish my dream. Their patience and encouragement, as well as that of my friends and family, was key to completing my course and I would recommend it to anyone looking to further their education.
This course is by no means easy, but it gave me the opportunity to study at my own pace and develop my time management skills along the way.
The best advice I could give to future students would be to stick to a study plan, always ask your tutor for help if you need it, and never give up even when the going gets tough.
I cant wait to start my Nursing Degree in September, Thank you DistanceLearningCentre.com! (Jun 15)
