"It has given my self-esteem and confidence a real boost"
I still wanted to work full time and earn money - Joanna Harper
I work for the NHS as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, once I was in this role I realised that I wanted to become a fully qualified Occupational Therapist, to do this I have to go to university. I didn't complete my A levels, as being young and naive I wanted to work full time and earn money. I found DistanceLearningCentre.com and after discussing with the university I wanted to apply to, I was told that the course would be acceptable, so I enrolled to do the Access to Health Professions.
I didn't realise how tough the course would be, but it is well worth it, every unit I completed I felt was an accomplishment. At the beginning of the year I experienced a personal loss, at one point I didn't think that I would be able to complete the course, but with the help of my tutors I made it. I can't thank them enough. There have been lots of tears and times my laptop nearly went through the window, but I am now applying to my chosen university and hope to become a full time mature student in 2015. (Nov 14)
Having this qualification has given me an edge - Vivian Nwagboso
When I applied to the university and I was told I needed an access course including my GSCE. I was sort of lost because I didn't know where or how to start. I contacted the university to see if they knew where I could get a place. I told them I wanted distance learning as I would feel out of place with very young students and they gave me a link. I went to the link and I wasn't really impressed so I did a random search using Google and I found DistanceLearningCentre.com!
I just followed the instructions on the page and registered, it was quite easy to do that and I got contacted almost immediately and the rest is history. The university course I want to study only has September session and I am so happy my year didn't go by without getting this qualification. Having this Level 3 qualification has given me an edge above GSCE holders when it comes to wages.
For anyone who wishes to enrol with DistanceLearningCentre.com, my candid advice to you is that you have to be prepared. Registration was easy but, believe me, after that you have to be determined and make up your mind that no matter what, you are willing to go through this. To all my tutors from first to last, I say a very big massive thank you. I feel like my life is moving again! (Nov 14)
The course is so flexible, I have been able to complete it whilst working my full time job - Hollie Armer
DistanceLearningCentre.com has enabled me to achieve a goal that I once thought was unobtainable. As the course is so flexible, I have been able to complete it whilst working my full time job as a Healthcare Support Worker on nightshifts!
I have felt supported by all of my tutors who have been consistently brilliant! I feel that the course has been a fantastic preparation for University. All of the subjects were relevant and also really interesting. It's been hard work but enjoyable hard work! Thank you for everything to the DistanceLearningCentre.com team, my dream to become a nurse is now in sight! (Nov 14)
It has given my self-esteem and confidence a real boost - Lou Carter
Studying with DistanceLearningCentre.com gave me the opportunity to do my Access to Health Diploma around my very busy full time job as a registered veterinary nurse. Without DistanceLearningCentre.com I would not have been able to gain the qualifications that I needed to apply for university, as leaving work to attend a college was just simply not an option for me.
I can honestly say that although the course required a lot of hard work and late nights, it has been a very positive experience for me and has given my self-esteem and confidence in my abilities a real boost. The tutors were absolutely fantastic and I genuinely cannot praise their knowledge and support highly enough! The modules and units were all very relevant and I have learnt a lot that I hope to apply in my future career.
Thanks to DistanceLearningCentre.com I now have a place at university to study as an Operating Department Practitioner which begins in March 2015 and I cannot wait to get started! (Nov 14)
