Studying with DistanceLearningCentre.com gave me the opportunity to do my Access to Health Diploma around my very busy full time job as a registered veterinary nurse. Without DistanceLearningCentre.com I would not have been able to gain the qualifications that I needed to apply for university, as leaving work to attend a college was just simply not an option for me.
I can honestly say that although the course required a lot of hard work and late nights, it has been a very positive experience for me and has given my self-esteem and confidence in my abilities a real boost. The tutors were absolutely fantastic and I genuinely cannot praise their knowledge and support highly enough! I am happy to take this opportunity to say thank you very much for all the support. I had never expected to study on-line and achieve education at this level, as a mum and in full-time work. DistanceLearningCentre.com have made that dream come true.
The course was very challenging, late night studying vs. sleep! The way the tutors lay out and structure the assessments, and the materials provided, made it clear to understand what research is required. Emailing tutors in the middle of night and getting a response in a short space of time was fantastic. The tutors are excellent and exceptional.
I have always wanted to be social worker and help others. The support and encouragement has given me this opportunity and has built the confidence that I needed to go to University. I did not reduce my working hours and still worked full time. I changed the balance of my work life, family life and education to make sure I achieved this Diploma through determination. I have been accepted at Wolverhampton University to study (BA) Hons Social Work Degree and I am so proud. I couldn't have done it without the support. During my University interviews the assignments equipped me to be ready, and thank you for giving time to concentrate on the interviews.
Also, after a family loss my world was falling apart and I was thinking of giving up, but my tutor never gave up on me. My emotions were considered and my tutor communicated with me so easily and made sure that I completed the course. The support you gave me will stay with me forever, especially at such difficult time. The feedback about how much my academic level progressed meant everything. I would like to express my thanks for the help and support I received throughout my course. In 2013 I made the big decision to make a career change from working in accounts to fulfilling my passion to become a midwife. I left college over 10 years ago and went into full time work, had two children but there was something missing. My children are growing up and felt that it was now or never so I took the big decision to take the necessary steps to become a midwife. The course was recommended by a friend so I decided to enquire and I am so glad that I did.
I have now completed my access course to midwifery which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I'm not going to lie, it was difficult with late nights studying, whilst also being a single working mum, but it enabled me to manage my time efficiently to succeed. It was a challenging and tough course but it has allowed me to develop and achieve the credits which are required to apply to university to continue with my dream. I found the tutors very helpful and supportive throughout the course and the assessments were explained clearly, giving good guidance the whole way through.
I am very proud of completing this course and hopefully I will be offered a place to continue my journey to getting a midwifery degree. Something which I would never of been able to do without the help of DistanceLearningCentre.com. Anything is possible when you set your mind to it. (Nov 14)
