In order to pursue a career in midwifery and meet university entry requirements, I needed to gain recent biology studies which would be manageable and affordable. The flexibility of DistanceLearningCentre.com and the support and encouragement of my fantastic tutors enabled me to continue working full time and look after my young family.

Although I found the course challenging at times, I thoroughly enjoyed every subject and looked forward to getting my next assignment. My grades were returned quickly with lots of valuable feedback about how to improve and develop, which was important to me when under pressure of gaining high grades to meet university requirements. This course requires a lot of self-motivation, hard work and is very time consuming but I would highly recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com to help you achieve your goals. (Jun 15)

Starting my access to nursing with DistanceLearningCentre.com was the beginning of my new life. I have worked in care homes for 15 years and I needed to make the change now or I knew I would regret it. DistanceLearningCentre.com seemed the most practical choice to help me gain my entry qualifications as they are flexible and you can spread the cost of the course.

The course itself is hard work and there were many times I said to myself "I cant do this anymore" but with the help of the tutors and pure determination I got through it. I feel such a sense of happiness, I'm so proud of myself. This course took me 2 and a half years to complete because I worked every night until 10pm and I also have 2 small children to look after so I could only study on a weekend.

When I first started the course there were no deadlines for handing in work so I used to take plenty time doing them, but when they introduced the 2 week deadlines this really give me the kick up the butt I needed to get this course finished.

Regardless of how long its taken to complete, I have finally completed the marathon and its the best thing I have ever done. I'm applying to university of Northumbria in September and I can only thank DistanceLearningCentre.com for helping me achieve my goals. Thank you so much. The skills you have given me will help me not only through university but through my life. (Jun 15)

Several years ago I looked into training as a midwife but was told that I did not hold the relevant qualifications. I was disappointed but put it behind me for a few years whilst continuing working in jobs that paid the bills but did not fulfil me.

It was after the birth of my daughter and becoming a single parent that my longing for a career in midwifery was reignited. I was determined to find a way of getting onto a midwifery degree and DistanceLearningCentre.com was the answer! From the start, the tutors and staff at DistanceLearningCentre.com have been so supportive and understanding, in particular with recognising the juggling act of studying and family life.

The course requires self discipline but is a great skill to develop now before starting university. I was worried how I would cope with the workload after being out of education for many years but was so surprised every time my assignments came back with good grades and positive feedback! Each time it happened my confidence grew and I am over the moon to have gained a place on a midwifery degree for September!

I would recommend DistanceLearningCentre.com to anyone, this is your opportunity for a new start, take it!! (Jun 15)

I left the Armed Forces after 10 years of service and found I wanted a new career in health professions. I had no qualifications and my GCSE's weren't great. I found DistanceLearningCentre.com online and decided to have a look. It was the best choice I have ever made.

I started the Access to HE Diploma in Health Professions in June 2014. I have two young children and a full time job; at times I did struggle and worry that I wouldn't get my assessments in on time. But the tutors are fantastic and will encourage you all the way. I had to complete my studies while living in Germany as a part of the British Forces and the tutors were brilliant with me, arranging Skype calls to save me money and because of this I am very grateful.

I expected just to pass the course but I enjoyed the subjects and I become confident in myself and I finished my course in June 2015 with merits and distinctions, which I was over the moon with. This is a challenging course and with hard work it can be accomplished and I would recommend it to anyone.

I have been accepted at Stafford University for September 2015's intake. I feel that DistanceLearningCentre.com has prepared me for my future studying and would just like to say THANK YOU!! (Jun 15)

I feel I have been supported throughout and am proud of myself for what I have achieved - Kelly Mann

Before the course I was working full time as an Auxiliary Nurse, I learned I wanted to progress my studies, attend university and become a registered nurse. It was through a friend at work I heard about DistanceLearningCentre.com and began to enquire about taking part in the course.

This past year has been tough but that is mainly through managing a full time job, night school to obtain a maths GCSE, running a home, paying a mortgage & completing this access course. It was my decision to have all of these things going on at the same time and now I have finished.

If I had to do it again perhaps I would do things differently so I could focus on my studies, but I have now completed the access course, more importantly to a level which I am happy with (a little surprised too because I didn't know I had it in me) and I feel great about it. I feel I have been supported throughout and am proud of myself for what I have achieved. DistanceLearningCentre.com tutors have been very helpful and supportive and offered me any advice and help I have needed along the way. (Jun 15)
