"It was affordable and I was able to work it around my work and social commitments"
Lionel Beckford (Ricky) - June 2013
I tried to do college courses but never got the chance to finish them because of the rigid course structure and its conflict with work and family obligations. Still wanting to study, I called a university where they told me about flexible study and particularly DistanceLearningCentre.com. I made my enquiry and enrolled.
After enrolling I started the course and found that all three of my tutors made me feel like I was their only concern. The course modules flowed and made sense while the instructions were easy to follow. Help was always on hand and the tutors being well versed were even able to explain things (even to me) in plain English when I got stuck.
It could never have happened without the help and dedication of my DistanceLearningCentre.com tutors along with the course materials available on the website. Studying with DistanceLearningCentre.com was the turning point for me, opening the door to my future and because of the flexibility that DistanceLearningCentre.com offers I now have my diploma and a start date for a BNurs (Hons) Mental Health Nursing at Wolverhampton University in January.
With DistanceLearningCentre.com you can achieve your dreams!

I have completed my Access to Midwifery, and I am now confidently applying for 2014 Midwifery intake, distance learning is the most challenging manner of study I have ever undertaken, but by far the most rewarding!
Before beginning my course, and even at points throughout the first 6 months, I questioned how I would juggle the course, my business, my two year old & my voluntary commitments- but 11 months later here I am with grades far exceeding what I believed I could achieve! My level three tutors were so incredibly encouraging, supportive and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. I will say with no hesitation that they totally restored my confidence. I believe it was that level of tutoring which enabled me to keep achieving and finally to complete the course successfully.
I feel totally filled with pride that I have studied and completed an entire access diploma independently, this fills me with confidence for the future, and has restored my faith in my abilities! Thank you to my wonderful tutors for your support! Whether you have work commitments, a family or are a more mature student, do not let that stand in the way of achieving your dreams when DistanceLearningCentre.com provide you with the flexibility to incorporate study into your day-to-day lives.

My experience with DistanceLearningCentre.com has really changed my life. After growing up, not really knowing where I wanted to go or what I wanted to do in my life, I'm so happy to have found DistanceLearningCentre.com and embarked on something I have passion and enthusiasm for.
In order to meet the entry requirements for the Adult Nursing courses at my chosen Universities, I found I needed some extra qualifications. I researched many courses from the Open University to A levels to Access Courses at my local colleges. Once I came across DistanceLearningCentre.com I realised it was the course for me. The DistanceLearningCentre.com courses offer the ability to study at your own rate, setting your own targets and choosing your own units. It was affordable and I was able to work it around my work and social commitments.
Now don't get me wrong, it isn't easy. The course is designed to prepare you for the workload that is waiting for you at university and do that it does! The tutors are so incredibly supportive with daily emails and weekly phone calls should you need them. They give detailed feedback making it easier to achieve the higher grades next time and I'm so happy with the results I achieved.
After completing this course I definitely feel better prepared for what is ahead of me and I'm so excited for the journey ahead. University of Bedfordshire here I come!!

After leaving college and starting a full time job I had pretty much abandoned the idea of achieving my ambition of a future in social work. When I found DistanceLearningCentre.com I was sceptical at first but I was soon to be proven very wrong.
The tutors working with me are dedicated and enthusiastic about the materials I studied and I could not have achieved the grades I did without the incredible support and motivation I received from my tutors. Now I have the chance to go to a fantastic university and pursue my dream. My sincerest gratitude to DistanceLearningCentre.com for granting me this opportunity.

At last! I finally found a course that was right for me, which meant I did not have to give up work for a year AND it also provided me with the qualification that I needed to apply for University.
I took English, Maths and Science GCSEE's followed by the Access to Primary Teaching. I have now been offered a place at University and am due to start in September. I am so grateful to DistanceLearningCentre.com for offering this qualification and enabling me to actually take the first step towards my dream job.
It takes a lot of self motivation, determination and enthusiasm to keep pushing yourself through this process, but now it has reached the end, I am so proud of my achievement. Along the course I changed tutors 3 times (due to the subject changes throughout the course) and I cannot thank them all enough, they were so helpful, motivating and encouraging. Thank you.
If you are reading this then you have already decided that you want to make a change, and you should start with DistanceLearningCentre.com. I am so pleased that I did!
