Unit 6 qu's 8 c iv)

Postby hlg2408 » Mon Jul 29, 2013 5:18 pm

Please can someone assist me with this question. My tutor has just finished for two weeks,& this is my last question in this paper.

The qu's
Alicia laid topsoil on a circular bed. She got through half a tonne of topsoil. She used roughly 100kg per square meter of garden. What was the approximate area of the circular bed?

I'm completely perplexed by this question. I'm going round in circles trying to figure it out....maybe I'm just over thinking it!

Thank you
Hattie.

Thank you Sophie! :) For some reason it wouldn't allow me to reply via a pm!

Feeling incredibly stupid for over thinking the sum!

Many thanks,
I see your also undertaking the Access to Midwifery, how are you finding the course so far?

Don't worry took me ages to work that out myself and then couldn't believe it was that simple! Not too bad, have just started communications after finishing my gcsee maths, it is harder than I thought it would be to be honest and very time consuming but I am getting there! How are you finding it? x

Algebra & trigonometry nearly killed me! Thankfully both done now.
I have the maths project to complete, English Writing for meaning, & then I can finally get started in the level 3. Initially I felt completely overwhelmed with the GCSE maths units, I think I'm going to feel exactly the same once I begin level 3.

Keen to get started on the level 3 do that I can make May 2014 deadline. Are you planning to apply later this year?

Luckily I didn't have to do English, so straight on to level 3 but its taking a bit of getting used to, its quite hard and makes you think a lot! yeah hopefully for sept 14! x
