Pulse Readings

Postby Tracy1980 » Wed Feb 06, 2013 11:22 am

Hi,

Do you take the pulse readings before the dot to dot, then during and then when the participant is searching for the numbers. Or is it before, when they are looking for the dot to dot and then afterwards. Also when filling in the decriptive data table it says that we are using the PR2 scores, which ones are these?

Can anyone help?

Tracy

Hi Tracy it tells you in the instructions which are PR2 scores and you do the pulse rate as below:

Take pulse rate before administering dot-to-dot and the record data
Take pulse rates as your participants seek the missing number (the missing dot!).
Take the pulse rate after they have finished doing the dot-to-dot

Hiya

the instructions should all be in there in the assessments section, which references

http://life.familyeducation.com/cpr/fir ... 48241.html

for taking a pulse and the instructions are on page 6 for when the pulse rates are taken, about half way down I believe

I hope this helps

I think Robin told you this in the post just above yours.

Best wishes
