Having trouble uploading assessment to DLC

Postby nicole87 » Mon Dec 07, 2015 6:55 am

Hi There,

I am having trouble uploading an assessment to the website. It loads to 100% and then says waiting for DLC. Is anyone else having issues? Please can you advise? Also, I noticed that the website was down on Saturday evening, was wondering whether this could be the reason for my technical difficulty? I have emailed my tutor with my assessment in the meantime.

Cheers

Nicole

I would think it could be a follow on from the website issues - hopefully we may be given some news....

Hey,

I am still experiencing difficulty in uploading my assessment. I have sent technical support an email. It is quite a large file 10,379KB with scanned in images of my work, wondering whether this could be an issue also?

Cheers,

Nicole

Yes I think that it is probably rather big, but technical will let you know what to do. If all else fails you could split it into two as long as it has the helpful titles your tutor will not mind.

Everything is awesome!

Thanks for your help guys, technical support were really quick at getting back to me and it was because my file was way too big. I have compressed the file and successfully uploaded it to the website.

Thanks again,

Nicole :D

For future ref - scanned images tend to produce really big files, if you adjust the resolution (dpi) on your scanning interface down to something like 96dpi (they tend to default scan at 300/600 etc) the file size will be way smaller, still perfectly legible, and you probably won't have to compress the files :)

Thank you carrotcruncher,

I realise that scanned images produce large files, I just didn't realise there was a limit as to what you could upload. I'll know for next time.

Many Thanks
