TAQ 1

Postby Rachel21 » Wed Jul 17, 2013 8:45 pm

Hello. I am just working on TAQ 1, calculating the calorie content of the daily diet.

This seems like a really silly question but are we to assume that the coffee is made with water and just topped up with semi-skimmed milk or is it made entirely of milk because, if this is the case, it makes an enormous difference to the calorie count and also the types of nutrients included..........

Hiya

it does, I'd explain that the coffee in the menu is full fat milk and plenty of it

I hope this helps

Hi Robin,

Thanks that does help but the menu specifies 300mls of semi skimmed milk - should I go with that?

Ok - thanks.

Just want to check, therefore, that I would be right in saying that the diet provides approx the correct amount of kcals for breastfeeding mother but approx 1000 to little for the athlete.....

Hiya

well that definitely depends on the levels of calories you expect/find for each though I'd definitely discuss more than just calories

I hope this helps
