Will i be ready for June Moderation?

Postby alexiyoung12 » Fri Mar 11, 2016 2:57 am

I have secured myself a place at uni for Adult Nursing but i still have the whole of Biology to complete for June Moderation, I understand this is an awful amount of work to complete in such a short time!! If i complete one assignment a week from now i will be on track but is this possible with tutor marking etc... Shall i just quit while im ahead :?: :( :(

I think even thinking about quitting when you have an offer from a university is probably not a great thing to do, next year you may not be so lucky. I would have a long chat to your tutor about it as obviously we have no idea on here how long you have been studying or whether you have been keeping to your ILP. However, a piece of work a week is doable though very hard, so if I was in your position I would get my head down forget about my social life and give it a go. You have been very lucky to have been offered a place at university and therefore don't just throw it away.

Best of luck

Don't forget you need to have 45 credits worth MARKED by April 22nd - which realistically means you need to have 45 credits worth submitted by the 8th.

Not sure how many bio units you have to do , or how many credits you already have, but you need to make that deadline first.

Good luck with it anyway :)

Hi Alex,

As you are on a short deadline as we now know then planning and carrying out will need to be done in total in 3 weeks max, two would be better

Best wishes

Hi Alexi,

Someone in the same boat as myself. I also have a place for september and have only just started biology. I've completed the first assignment and am on with the second one. I too have been panicing that i'm not going to be finished in time, i have just been spending as much time possible studying. Also am going to rope my parents into looking after the kids one day a week so i can have a full day of study instead of just the evenings once they're in bed. Stick at it, we can do it! It will so be worth it in the end!

Very possible Alex. Often If I was busy in the first week of my module, I would spend 3 days and destroy the module in the following week! If you put your mind to it, anything is possible.

Reiterating what Karen has mentioned above - you may not get another chance like this - so give it your all! What have you got to lose

If you need any help with Biology along the way, give me a message - more than happy to help. I won't be able to give you definite answers, but certainly can send you in the right direction :D

Hey,

This course can be frustrating at times, it is like being on a roller coaster but it really would be silly to quite when you have an offer at university. Just think of the course as hoops you have to jump through in order to give the uni what they want. You can do it! Anything is possible if you put your mind to it and there are plenty of people to offer advice and support along the way.

What is the problem with codes?

You should be able to get a password for the next assessment if you are on the reading material over Easter. Please do speak to your tutor and if you are having issues, you can always speak to student support.

Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you.
