Welcome to the DLC,

You are not that far from me, I'm in Frome :)

What universities are you looking to apply to?

Hi Vonners

There is quite a few students out there that are in the same position as yourself.

Just because you haven't studied for years, you'll be surprised what you can do. :D

Hello everyone

My name is Martyn, I'm 34 and live in Glasgow. I have signed up to shortly commence an Access to Social Work Diploma and would be keen to get to know others on a similar path?

Having been Long Haul cabin crew from 20 years old and now a trainer I am very much looking forward to getting into academia and starting (what will hopefully be) a change of career.

Here's to good times ahead (and lots of hard work I'm sure  )

Martyn

Morning all
I have just started my Health Professional course option 1 and have quickly realized that getting back into study after all this time( 42) is quite daunting!
I have just finished the English and just about to start on my Maths module . Once I get in to the Psychology and Biology it would be lovely to have some students working through the same modules to chat with.
Many thanks from a rather mature student ...........
Emma
