Hi Rhiannon

Unfortunately no, you cannot redo the unit again.
Believe you can and you're halfway there

I am afraid that redoing units is called by QAA (the quality assurance body for Access) grade polishing and this is not allowed by them. The only way to get better grades is to take the whole diploma again or a new one. If you do take the same diploma again it needs to be all diferent assessments rather than the ones you did before. However, if you think that you are not going to get in because of your grades then ask our student services to give you a call to talk through your options it may not be as bad as you think.

Hope that this clarrifies the situation

thanks for the replies guys,
im just getting worked up, i have only a few units left only only one distinction! i need 15 level 3 credits at D and rest M for my uni entry. my last assessment was the muscles and human skeleton and i really thought i might get a D but nope... another Merit! so frustrating. i have an interview for UWE and imagine they liked my and offered my a place...yet my grades didnt make the requirements!!!? that would be a massive blow! i just feel so stupid, people i speak to are getting D's and i am not, sometimes im just missing out on a D. im onto homoeostasis now :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

Hi Rhiannon

I'll try and offer you some advice.

- Always use the scientific terminology.
- In your materials you will find words that stand out (bold black letters) use them.
- Use plenty of resources (websites, textbooks, pdf's, etc).
- Referencing and bibliography correct.
- Grammar is correct, spelling, punctuation.
- Depth and specificity.
- Refer back to the grade descriptors.

Good luck

I would also have a chat to your tutor in a tutorial to discuss what they think you need to do to get the distinctions, they should have written a lot of it down in the feedback to also make sure that you follow their suggestions.
Good luck

Yes as Karen said, arrange a tutorial and go through everything (ask questions)

Also, remember to read your feedback that your tutor writes (It does help, believe me).
