Re: Introduction!

Hi Skye - welcome! Have you heard from your tutor? They will contact you via email to introduce themselves and to get you started. It's completely normal to feel overwhelmed (there's lots to get your head around), but it does get easier. Do one thing at a time and things will start to click. Before ...

Re: Realistic completion target

Hi Rickelle You're just under half way through the Diploma with just over 2 months to complete the remaining units. If you were to work on your Diploma full time it could be done (but it would be tough). It would be the equivalent of completing the full Diploma in 4 months. You would certainly need ...

Re: New Laptop

Hi Kirsty
The Turnitin report will download from Turnitin as a PDF - it's this that you should upload to your DLC account.
Hope this helps :)

Re: New Laptop

Hi Kirsty
The last thing that we want to do is hinder your progress over a font! As long as it is clear it will be ok. But do feel free to email me the document if you want me to have a look at it: r.hayday@distance...

Re: New Laptop

Hi - I use Word for Mac, which sorts out any formatting issues (because I need to collaborate with people using PCs), but if you're using Pages then you should still be ok. If the font looks different that's alright as long as we can still read it :) Complete your SAQs on Pages, upload it onto your ...

Re: New Laptop

Good day to you, I'm new to MAC and to be honest am struggling with the basics (!) but just wanted to ask, when downloading the ILP, to complete and upload - the MAC completely changes it! It's saving in docx but when downloaded its 44kb then once I have added my info then save it - it goes to 7kb!...

Re: First TAQ and my brain is frazzled

Hi - it sounds like it would be really good for you to have a tutorial so you can talk over the assessment. Please do this - your tutor will help you! How far through the assessment have you got? It's very much a staged task-driven assessment. I'll talk you through it now (but obviously you might ha...

Re: we want your course feedback!

Hi all, Just wanted to know, what is the time frame in which your tutor replies to your emails? As I have lots of question which are going unanswered and I am chopping at the bit to get this course cracked. Thanks Rod Hi Rod Tutors reply within 24 hours, but usually much sooner than this. If you've...

Re: SAQ

Hi Zoe - that's right, the SAQs are the questions in the materials. You complete them on the answer sheet, upload this and let your tutor know when you have. Once you've completed your SAQs, then you'll be ready to start your assessment.

Re: A bit confused!!

Hi - good luck with starting your courses! I'd recommend that you discuss your study plans with your tutor/s, and explain how much you're working etc to them. Because you're studying two GCSEs in there too, then this may mean that you need to adjust some plans. For example, you may wish to get one, ...

Re: When are comms done?

Hi - we don't call the introductory units Comms anymore (that changed when the last Diploma changed). Your introductory units will depend on your option - if you're doing an option with level 2s it's (usually) English, Maths, Study Skills, first ungraded subject unit. If you're doing an option with ...
