Re: Introduction!

Hi Skye - welcome! Have you heard from your tutor? They will contact you via email to introduce themselves and to get you started. It's completely normal to feel overwhelmed (there's lots to get your head around), but it does get easier. Do one thing at a time and things will start to click. Before ...

Re: Realistic completion target

Hi Rickelle You're just under half way through the Diploma with just over 2 months to complete the remaining units. If you were to work on your Diploma full time it could be done (but it would be tough). It would be the equivalent of completing the full Diploma in 4 months. You would certainly need ...

Re: First TAQ and my brain is frazzled

Hi - it sounds like it would be really good for you to have a tutorial so you can talk over the assessment. Please do this - your tutor will help you! How far through the assessment have you got? It's very much a staged task-driven assessment. I'll talk you through it now (but obviously you might ha...

Re: SAQ

Hi Zoe - that's right, the SAQs are the questions in the materials. You complete them on the answer sheet, upload this and let your tutor know when you have. Once you've completed your SAQs, then you'll be ready to start your assessment.

Re: A bit confused!!

Hi - good luck with starting your courses! I'd recommend that you discuss your study plans with your tutor/s, and explain how much you're working etc to them. Because you're studying two GCSEs in there too, then this may mean that you need to adjust some plans. For example, you may wish to get one, ...

Re: When are comms done?

Hi - we don't call the introductory units Comms anymore (that changed when the last Diploma changed). Your introductory units will depend on your option - if you're doing an option with level 2s it's (usually) English, Maths, Study Skills, first ungraded subject unit. If you're doing an option with ...

Re: Ethics in Restraint Essay

HI Luke - discuss how the actions that were taken against Bennett fitted in (or not) with Utilitarianism. Was it the greatest good for the greatest number? How would this have been assessed? With Kant, look at whether restraint in this case was intended to do 'good'? No action is 'good' without the ...

Hi - what's the assessment called that you're working on? I've looked on Using Calculations assessment 2 (which is what I guessed you were on - for the Progression Award?) and there isn't a question 24. If you can let me know I can help, or email your tutor and they will be happy to guide you.

Re: Presentation

Hi What we have to do is to make sure that what you have in your PPT meets the instructions on the assessment, and any criteria that is assessed. So make sure that you: - have a plan for TAQ 2 a) - you can use a print out of the PPT slides as your flashcards, but make sure that you cover all of the ...
