Re: Biology: Practical investigation

Hi It sounds like you are up to doing the statistical test - will give you some help with this but do please post again if this is not what you need! When you analyse results you are trying to see which of the hypotheses is correct - the alternate or null (as they can't both be correct). As these hy...

Re: Biology: Practical investigation

Hi

Sorry I have only just seen your message - you say you have a tutorial today so your tutor should be able to help and talk with you specifically about your results - good luck!

Re: Biology Practical Investigation on stress

Hi It is fine to conduct the research in either of the ways you have suggested so you can do this in whichever way you find easiest. You should supplement the information in the assessment brief by following links for instance to suggested research so that you can include this in your background rea...

Re: Aggression

Hi
The second part of TAQ 2 is asking about ways that aggression can be reduced (these are the strategies). These would include things like token economies or CBT for instance - you need to link these to a relevant theory and apply them to David from the assessment brief
Good luck!

Re: Results section of practical investigation (biology /human physiology)

Hi

It's ok to round the numbers to two decimal places and you'll probably find them easier to work with in this format and less likely to make errors in calculations
Good luck finishing off

Re: CArrying out Practical Investigation Biology/ Huma Physiology

Hi Ruth
On the graph N represents number of participants with each pulse rate. So if you group your pulse rates into categories such as 5 beats per 5 seconds, 6 beats per 5 seconds etc then you would record on the graph how many participants scored each of these
Hope this helps

Re: health and social care provision, suggestions?

Hi Just select one of the services you have chosen, and consider 2 ways that it can be measured. For example, surveys (lots of services provide their users with surveys to gather information on the level of service that they have received). Inspections is another way of measuring the service. You co...

Re: Planning a research project TAQ1

Hi In TAQ3 you are outlining how your research will be conducted thinking about what the aim of the research will be and then how the research will be conducted to gather results which meet this aim. Your research should investigate the effect of gender on haptics (touching behaviour), so you will n...

Re: Chi square test

Hi Chi squared tests can be a bit confusing as the online calculators work in different ways. I quite like this one and there is no need to calculate the expected frequencies and the table is big but you can just use the portion of it that fits with your data. There are also instructions - if you us...

Hi
You only need one alternate hypothesis which will be either directional or non directional, which way is up to you based on your understanding from your background research
Good luck!

Re: Psychology Research Project

Hi A hypothesis has a direction if it states how a difference will be shown - so for instance There will be a significant difference between the number of words remembered from red and yellow paper. People will remember more words on yellow paper than red. If the hypothesis just says there will be a...

Re: Theories of aggression

Hi I can see you have posted in a couple of places - as the question is essentially the same will address it here. You don't have to do a flow chart if you are finding this difficult - your tutor will accept a paragraph instead - just make sure that in this you are addressing the neural mechanisms c...
