Re: Anyone else ''in over their heads''???

Yes I felt very much like you at the beginning. I started in October 2012 and I've finished in early June for moderation and I'm going to uni in September. I never thought this time last year I would be where I am now and I never thought when I started the course that I would even finish it, but if ...

Re: Finally finished/Certificates

Thankyou very much, I have worked really hard, it's been tough and I never thought I could do it. My motivation came when I received those ever so precious uni offers and I just knew I couldn't let this opportunity slide. I had to prioritise, which meant no social life and no weekend family time, bu...

Finally finished/Certificates

It's been a long 8 months and my housework has been neglected but I have finally finished my access to nursing course last week. I am still in shock that I have actually finished with 45 Distinctions

Would somebody please clarify when I will receive my certificates?

Thankyou :D

Re: Protein synthesis

Ah that does help, thanks Robin.

I was trying to figure out how tRNA is manufactured and where it comes from but I suppose I don't need to know this for the level I am working at?

Thanks again.

Protein synthesis

Hello, I am just finishing the TAQ 6 of Genetics...I have written about transcription and I think I understand, however what I am not understanding is once the mRNA has been synthesised and enters the cytoplasm binding with the small subunit of the ribosome, where does the tRNA come from? I think I ...

Re: Unit 12 TAQ 5 natural, acquired, active and passive

Thanks Robin.

So would it be ok to not actually use a table?

I may redo it and send to my tutor if this is the case as I'm not happy with what I've done.

Thanks

Re: Unit 12 TAQ 5 natural, acquired, active and passive

Did anybody figure this out in the end? I struggled putting the information in the table also and I've restructured the table but I'm convinced I've not done it correctly. I've only recently sent it to my tutor for marking

Re: Aaaargh Pathogens :(

I really didn't enjoy pathogens either. I have finished and uploaded but I haven't posted it to my tutor as I'm really unhappy with my TAQ 5. I did post on the forum a really good video a few days ago which really helps with TAQ 4. I am just over half way through Human Life Cycles and have genetics ...

TAQ 4

https://www.khanacademy.org/science/bio ... er-t-cells

This website was invaluable to me for TAQ 4 and explained the role of helper T cells in detail but in a straightforward and understandable manner, so thought I'd share :D

Re: new to nursing!

Hi, I am near the end of my access to nursing diploma, many of the books you can get at the library....these are the ones which I highly recommend and without them I doubt I would have achieved Distinctions in all my psychology modules. TAQ 6

TAQ 6...I've explained the cardiac cycle and cardiac conduction system (sino-atrial nodes etc)...the criteria states to explain the dual circulatory system, is this referring to the cardiac cycle and cardiac conduction system? Because when I google 'dual circulatory system' it refers to a circuit li...

Re: TAQ 5

Thankyou Robin, I have done cardiac, smooth and skeletal muscles but I am way over word count, so would two be enough for a Distinction?

So for connective tissue adipose and loose connective tissues would suffice?
