Accessing my Assessments

Hi DLC,

I haven't been on here for a while due to moderating in June 2014. I've just logged on to use my assessments for some revision before uni and I can still find them but I can't access them :( . Is this an error or are they only available to view for a certain amount of time after completing?

Re: Universities our students are going to for 2015

I haven't been on here in ages! I moderated in June 2014, applied for the first time for 2015 entry and start midwifery at Keele in a few weeks. I never imagined I'd get a place there, DLC definitely works!

UCAS - Applying through DLC

Hi, I completed my DLC access course and moderated in June this year. Just wondering if I can still apply as a DLC student using you buzzword and be eligible for application/ ps checking or will I have to apply as an independent? My last tutor has already said that I can use her as my academic refer...

Ok brill, did that relate to the criteria - proteins the body cannot manufacture?

Distinction Criteria 2.1, 2.2, 2.3?

Hi, I am currently on TAQ 5 and am a little confused by the following criteria: 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3: • Explains the subjects with a very high level of specificity, citing some specific genetic based illnesses (e.g. Haemophilia) as well as highlighting the proteins which the body cannot manufacture. Fir...

You must have read my mind, I am totally stuck on it's importance :eh: really hate wasting a whole day on one 200 word section of a TAQ!

Re: TAQ 1 Part 2

So is my understanding wrong that we are only looking at the features of pathogenic microorganisms?

TAQ 1 Part 2

Can somebody please tell me if they have actually used 'function' as a feature within the table? I'm not really sure what is expected in this part as function to me sounds like some sort of positive contribution and a pathogen is of no advantage to the body. The only 'function' I can see for pathoge...

TAQ 2a & b and Criteria

Hi, I am a little confused on the assessment criteria for those who wish to 'Stretch and Challenge' themselves which I am assuming is distinction criteria. TAQ 2a is explaining mechanisms of inhalation and exhalation and 2b is process of gas exchange. However distinction criteria 1.2 relates to both...

TAQ 3 - word count 200 or 300?

Hi,

Please can somebody clarify if the word count for this TAQ is 200 or 300? TAQ states 200 but at the end of the assessment it states 300.

Thank you
