Re: Mental helath issues assment help

Hi Chrissie, As it is John's mum who has the mental illness, then it is her symptoms on which you should comment. The materials apply to a wide range of age groups - not just adolescents. For example, take a look at the classification systems from page 23 onwards. It is also a good idea to conduct s...

Re: Health and Social Care Provision HELP

Hi Chrissie,

Yes, I was writing about the alternative assessment for this unit! You must be on the original assessment. My best advice is to book a tutorial with your tutor, so that they can go through the criteria with you and assist.

Re: Health and Social Care Provision HELP

Hi Chrissie, I think you are referring to TAQ 1c? My advice would be to pay careful attention to the question first of all. It is asking you to 'evaluate' the Professional Standards, Ethics and Codes of Conduct. This means that you need to highlight how these professional standards benefit Mrs Wilso...

Re: planning a research project (social issues in health care)

Hi Megwilldo, The additional resources in the TAQ document are mainly geared to Child Poverty, so it would be an idea to focus on that area. By chart, we mean something such as a pie chart which would allow the reader to see the proportion of which words were captured during the content analysis. Ho...

Re: Research project - participants

Hi Sam,

To make the sample size suitably representative, I suggest you aim to include 30 couples in total. As observing them does not take too much time, this should be achievable.

Re: Social work students come join me......

Hi Klay,

It's great when students talk to each other on the forums - it makes the journey less solitary. I will see if I can get some other students onto the forum.

Re: Essay in restraint !!!

Hi Klay, Some good advice there. It is also important to include ethical theories in your essay. By including them, you can then use the theories to explain any case studies included. There is one in the materials about Rocky Bennett which is often used by students and really adds to the essay. Than...

Hi Klay!

Welcome to the forum! It's a little quiet on here at the moment, but I will be encouraging some of the students to join you on hear.

In the meantime, just get in touch if I can help.
