TAQ's

This forum seems a little quiet, but I'll post anyways! I'm working on Issues in Social Work and going through all the TAQ's and I'm finding it difficult on some of them to answer the question in around 1000 words as I feel I've answered the question in about 500, yet feel that's not enough! Yet I d...

Re: got the ball rolling and don't know where to stop!

I'm kind of on the same track as you and definitely found the word count to be limited as I've still gone over the limit. However I've tried to shorten it down and managed to do so. The hard part seems to be knowing how much different theories and experiments to include because sometimes it asks for...

Re: Personal Development Essay

Ahh, well then that has me confused because they way I interpreted the assignment was the TAQ was an essay of 1000 words covering criteria 1.1 (and some others I think) and then I went on to write my personal essay of an additional 2000 words. So basically I had my TAQ 1 as one essay, my personal es...

Re: Questions and Answers

Thanks, I did use the DLC chi-square calculator to double check that all my calculations were right, but I still want to know how to read/use the distribution table because when I go into discussion on my report I actually want to know what I'm talking about lol!

Re: Personal Development Essay

Hi Is this what your tutor told you to do? Thats completely different to what I was told - really worried now! I did the same thing as the person previously posted, the TAQ covering criteria 1.1 although I have yet to hand it in. Who told you otherwise? If it was your tutor than go with what your t...

Re: Questions and Answers

I'm currently working on the chi-squared test and I've worked out all the calculations and got my degree of freedom as 3, however after that I'm stuck. I tried reading the worksheets on the DLC library about figuring out how to read/use the distribution table, but that part has me stumped. Any help ...

Re: Practical Report - NVC

Thanks, I figured as much just wanted to be sure. Just another quick question, I was looking back at my communications lessons talking about how to write lab reports and practical reports, and for the NVC it says to write a practical report but as I am doing this as part of my stats module, looking ...

Re: Advanced personal development essay

i am currently slogging my way through this essay, and am really struggling. The advise from my tutor was that it IS okay to write in the first person where an essay specifically calls for it. However, he suggested that the best way to tackle this essay is to use the marking criteria to break the e...

Re: Advanced personal development essay

I was wondering along the same things you lot were, about personalizing them did anyone actually do that? Because it does say "Look at your life up to date..." so are we actually supposed to write about ourselves (because then in the essay we would be saying things like I, me, etc. when it...

Practical Report - NVC

If we are planning to do the NVC report as part of our Statistics and Research methods module, looking at the criteria sheet under 2.1 it says "select a relevant topic of research" and so on to carry out the experiment, might be a bit of a silly question but are we to use the gender touchi...

Re: Assessment 1- Q4

I think under each heading you just have to find where you'd find all the information for example: Printed Information - Newspapers etc. and do that for the rest of the columns. & then how you would verify, would be citing the information, making sure it is coming from reputable sources etc. Fee...

Re: Assessment 2 - Question 7.

I've confused myself now, because I've gone over it again and not got the "Related t test" as we're trying to find the difference under two different conditions (Normally and sleep deprived).

I suppose I've really just answered my own question. :?

Re: 2.4 UCAS Form online.

Another quick question, when filling out the "education" section, they want all the modules, do we have to put the ones we have yet to take and what do we put under the grade section, since it has yet to be completed?
