Re: Planning a research project

Hi,
Hopefully you have seen my answer in your other post, so you should be able to get started now with the research table and then you can go through the study proposal in your tutorial.

Hi,
Hopefully you've seen my answer on your other post which should help to clarify what you need to do with the research table.

Re: planning a research project social issues in healthcare)

Hi, A tutorial is a very good idea. Start by researching the topic of poverty; you can use any sources for this, not just newspapers. Look at current issues, causes, strategies in place to try and reduce poverty levels. All of this research needs to go into the table for TAQ 1a, so list the sources,...

Re: safeguarding

Hi,
Start with the materials; for SAQ 3 you would have looked at ways of reducing the incidents of abuse, and there are also some links in there that you can use. Then make a plan for your essay answer and arrange a tutorial to go through this.
Kind Regards

Re: safeguarding

Hi,
Rather than trying to change the information into advantages and disadvantages, briefly explain the main points of the legislation or guidance, and then explain at least one limitation or criticism of each.

Re: Planning a research project

Hi Nicci, If you haven't already done so, arrange a tutorial with your tutor so that you can go through the requirements of the assessment; it's usually easier to discuss this unit on the phone than using emails, however if you have already created an aim, you can email it to your tutor so they can ...

Re: Planning a research project

Hi Kirsty,
It's just the header for the table, so you don't need to add any boxes.

Re: Aggression

Hi Sarah, For TAQ 2 (the essay) you need to use genetic predisposition and select one other theory. You need to explain each of these theories of aggression and support your answer with studies (research evidence that supports each theory's explanation). There are a number of different studies in th...

Re: Planning a research project

Hi Kirsty, The table isn't included, so it is just the written piece that you complete after doing your research that is counted in the word limit. We can't really say how many sources you should use as there isn't a set amount, but it should be enough for you to get a good understanding of the topi...

Re: Planning a research project

Hi Kirsty, You need to select a topic first, and then carry out your research into it (just as you would for any assessment), and then include your sources and notes in the table. This will then provide you with the information you need for the written piece. For this unit I would suggest that you a...

Re: Health and social care provision/Premature mortality

Hi,
You can use the Index of Multiple Deprivation map; just search this online and you should be able to find it.

Re: Health and social care provision/Premature mortality

Hi,
When you click onto the data, select the map and this highlights areas of the UK with worse or better rates against the benchmarks. Then go to the data overview and select areas (you could select one from more deprived and one from less deprived areas) and compare the figures.

Hi Kirsty,
You can either type them onto a blank document or you can handwrite them if you prefer and upload them under My ILPs and SAQs.

Re: Health and social care provision/Premature mortality

Hi Kirsty, TAQ 3b is asking you to explain what is being done on a national level to reduce premature mortality, so for example, you could look at the Living Well for Longer publication, health checks for diabetes, healthy eating and exercise initiatives etc. You don't have to include everything, ju...

Re: Planning a research project (health and social care)

Hi Jess, You are right about the irrelevant information; you would just disregard it as it wouldn't be needed in your study. The coding for this study would just be an explanation of how you would use the tally chart, so words or phrases linked to the aim of your study. Materials is everything that ...
