A career in Paramedicine

Our Access to HE Diplomas give you the opportunity to apply for a degree in Paramedicine or to secure a Student Paramedic position with an ambulance service trust.

This can lead to a career working as a Paramedic, a Senior Paramedic, or with the Air Ambulance.

Not all careers need a degree, and an Access to HE Diploma in Paramedicine is also an excellent way to maximise your job prospects, such as:

  • Emergency care assistant
  • Ambulance technician
  • First Aid advocate

Access to Allied Health Professions Diplomas

These courses are studied entirely by distance learning.

You need to have a UK residential address to study this qualification.

Although there are no formal entry requirements for this Access to HE Diploma, to meet university entry requirements you may need GCSEs or further credits at Level 2. If you do not have these already, you can study them with us.

Access to Paramedicine - Option 1

Qualification: Access to Higher Education Diploma (Allied Health Professions) Option 1

£1165 - spread across easy instalments for up to 12 months of study

You will study 45 graded credits in Biology and Psychology and 15 ungraded credits.

Choose this to brush up your English and Maths skills in some Level 2 ungraded units.

Qualification: Access to Higher Education Diploma (Allied Health Professions) Option 2

£1165 - spread across easy instalments for up to 12 months of study

You will study 45 graded credits in Biology and Psychology and 15 ungraded credits.

Choose this to study all ungraded units at level 3.
