File Formats - most Assessments and Course Materials are in PDF format which means you need to use Acrobat Reader. If you do not already have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, you can download it FREE.
Google Chrome does not work - it has a bug which means it will not download password protected Adobe pdf files. If you wish to download these files, you will need to use a different Browser. If you still want to use it, you can find a fix for this on our Forum.
What is Moderation?
It is the process by which you obtain your Certificate on successful completion of the Course. It normally takes place twice a year, once in June (for entry into Higher Education in September) and November (for entry in January/February). During the moderation process, your work is Internally Verified (by a different DLC tutor than taught you for any given Module) and a sample of students' work is also Externally Moderated (by an External Moderator from OCNNWR). Assuming this process is all completed satisfactorily, Certificates are issued soon after. Please note that the grades awarded by your tutor before this process are provisional, subject to succesful Moderation.
For up-to-date information on forthcoming Moderations and deadlines for entry, visit the Moderation Dates Page.
